Damn you Slickdeals, how many tools will I buy only to remain unused in my workshop? Two more I guess.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

Just for reference, Project Farm tested this random orbital sander against all the other popular cordless sanders on the market, and this one scored dead last. The main reason it scored so poorly was because it vibrated and drifted more than any other sander, making it the most strenuous to use. It was also the loudest and the heaviest of them all. It scored lower than the cheap Ryobi, Craftsman, and Harbor Freight equivalents. I've got quite a bit of the Ridgid lineup that I love, but for sanders I think I'm going to stick with my corded for now. If you're heavily into the Ridgid ecosystem and will only use it occasionally, it may still be worth it. Hopefully they're clearing out stock to release an updated version. I haven't looked into the sheet sander yet, so I have no comment on its quality.

Why? Is there a limit of 1 per customer?

I had mine for over a year and use it quite a bit. Mostly for drywall sanding. It went dead on me a month ago. But good thing it's lifetime warranty. Waiting for it to get repaired. But I did buy this one.. I'll try out the sheet sander now.. Slickdeals for the win.. I think..

i agree with the video's results. have had the same exact issues to the point that I would return it if I could. I didn't expect pneumatic ease-of-use, but I'll keep looking for a better cordless RO.

At least now you can make your own coffin and sand it down after so you don't get any splinters.

I sold my 1/4 sheet palm sander after I got a random orbital. Haven't missed or needed that 1/4 sheet since.
