Enjoy!

I'm looking for something wired to set up ar the end of a long driveway for my elderly inlaws. they have power running out there, but wiffibsignal gets nowhere close. they simply want a camera there to be able to check whoever is ringing the door bell down there without walling all the way (about 200ft with a slight bend that obstructs view. would this work if I a set up a repeaters two going up the driveway, or does anybody know of a better option?

This should work. The camera is wireless, but you need to run a wire to power it. It has great motion detection and the app is really simple to use.

I use mine with WiFi mesh, this uses 2.4ghz band. I would set it up near your router first, scan the barcode during set-up + SD card and see if everything works before mounting it up permanently. My light is connected to a switch so when it's showing offline, it's easy to reset by turning switch off and on.

With the switch configuration are you able to keep the camera on but turn off the light?

The switch kills all power, including light and camera.

You might have better luck with something like a PoE Amcrest or Reolink camera (https://a.co/d/5lYlrr9) using a power over Ethernet injector (https://a.co/d/9DqzhkD).

Basically just run a short Ethernet from the router to the injector and then run a long Ethernet cable out of the injector (ideally in a conduit protecting it from the elements) to the camera. It'll be far more reliable than wifi because it's hard wired.

Keep the switch on. You can turn off the floodlights from the app. The camera is still on.
