I searched and didn't find this posted. I'm not sure how to link this, but I just checked my Verizon Up and had an offer sitting there for a free $25 Verizon Gift Card as a holiday gift.

Can it be used to make a payment on the device it was received on? Or does that screw up accounts with an autopay discount?
I got the $25 GC - I used it to make a payment on my device plan. I get the "you might lose the autopay discount" warning when I do, but I don't lose the autopay discount. Worst case, if somehow you do lose the discount for that month, you can call them to have them give you the autopay discount.

Though I haven't applied this one yet as I don't currently have a balance, they can generally be applied toward your bill as long as you don't pay it in its entirety with a gift card without interfering with autopay discount.
I did this for about a year when I first switched to verizon with all of my BYOD bonus gift cards. I would pay all but like $3 with the gift cards and then let autopay hit that $3. The discount remained active using that method.
I obviously don't pay enough to them to get more than a free cookie.
Funny cuz it feels like I pay them plenty for mediocre service...
But I live in the boonies and they are the only mostly reliable provider.
I got the cookie too. I did call a couple weeks back to ask about a loyalty discount (been a customer for 13 years) and they knocked $25 off the bill. So I got that going for me, which is nice.

if you got this offer it's because you're bleeding money to verizon
