Meh $7500 or bust
The tax credit in 2023 for $7,500 is only available to those with single adjusted gross incomes of under $150,000 and if filing jointly $300,000, so this is probably a good deal for those that cannot take advantage of the upcoming EV tax credit.

Gotta love a car company so translucently worrying about quarterly sales figures for their stock-cult.

Agreed. If you make less than 150k single and 300k joint just wait for the 7500 next year. However if you do make more than those limits this is a pretty good deal. Plus there are a lot of vehicles in stock ready for delivery so you don't need to wait.

Would would anyone pick $3500 over $7500 😂?
If u make more than 150k single or 300K joint you would pick 3500 as it's better than nothing plus vehicles are available for delivery.

Or are they trying to accelerate the transition to suitable energy before it's too late?

Will that be based on 2022 income?

In 2024 it turns into a price rebate.

Lol. Really man? You think at this point this is Elons goal? It's to meet the quarterly number so stock can bounce back after he jizz his shares to his cult to pay for Twitter. I have a Tesla and I was a big fan but c'on. $70g for a model 3 with worst interior than a Honda Accord

anyway folks I will wait till last few weeks to get more discounts, they do usually. Also pretty much Elon cult is boiling the entire tech community with ruthless behavior. So, I am not sure I want to be associated with that image though.
And no EV isnt accelerating anything other than your financial debt where more stealer charges and faster update cycle like your iPhone. 2019 M3 doesnt have a heat pump so in 2022 people basically treat this a tech commodity and discount for lack of hardware feature lol

Let's not forget with dealer markups and availability especially from Honda dealerships the top trim accord could get up to 40-45 k which has lower levels of performance and features than a base model 3.I'm saying this from experience as I went car shopping last month .Let's not forget gas prices and the Benefits in your state when you own a EV. Not saying this is the best financial option if you can't afford it and don't drive much but if you can afford it it's definitely worth it.
