ill just get a CHEVY Bolt EV
for Half the price
But you also would get less than a half. Nothing is wrong with Bolt but it is not in the same category as Models 3 and Y.

I placed model Y order back in March 2022 and my delivery is scheduled this month. Will I still be eligible for this $3750 credit?

Supposedly no one has money but can afford these prices? Can anyone donate to my piggy bank?
Can't help you there

Those who did well in school and worked hard during their career can still afford. Those who sit and whine are waiting for the government to help pay

I decided to go and get the vehicle delivered this month vs waiting for Jan, since it reduces monthly payment and I don't have to worry about how much tax credit the vehicle will qualify for based on battery components etc..

Getting an upfront $3750 and reduction in sales tax is a better deal than waiting for 1.5 years with lot of unknowns with the clean energy vehicle credit..

Not sure why it's downvoted. But seems like a reasonable thing, for people who need it now.

Yup and you also are locked into the lower price from the time you ordered it.

You are right. Those who understand economics and depreciating items don't buy new cars nor overpay.

Don't be fooled. Tesla over built bad quality vehicles in huge expensive factories. They're barely profitable. Deep discounts are coming.
I'd be worried about the warranty if they go under.
Tesla exists today because of government subsidies. Ironically, it's the same gov. he so despises today. Go figure. If gov. subsidies were factored out, the company hasn't been profitable for most of its history.
