It works well with human hair so I don't see why not. The Shark "power fins" inside the brush roll don't trap hair like traditional vacuums do. I have an older Shark Duoclean vacuum as well and the Vertex is a huge improvement for picking up hair.

I thought that was gauche nowadays !

* I understand people wanting everything cordless but at best you get 80% of the corded performance then there's the expense of having to replace a battery that will begin to deteriorate from day one.

Was looking for a good corded vac that can handle human and pet hair - read reviews on this and pulled the trigger. Looking forward to putting this to the test against the zoo that is my house!

Buy a pack of extra filters too. So that once every few weeks when you do hose the filters off (with some dawn) you can still use the vacuum.

I bought one during Amazon Lightning Cyber Monday and compared to the other 4 vacuums; Dyson V8, Bissell, Wet and Dry Bissell and Black and Decker this is a game changer! Sucks up hair and dog hair with ease and no tangles, strong suction that only corded vacs can provide, pull the trigger!

Think the Henry HVB 160 Cordless is one of the best cordless vacuums you can get but it's not a stick vac and pretty expensive. Also it's got a smiley face on it.
