So does the power cord double as the "linking" cord or is a separate one w diff connector?
I don't have this model, but it seems that it's just a standard AC plug from what I read. Plug the power cable from one into the outlet of the next.

Suspicious of cheap Hyper Tough things but reviews seem good. I'll give one a try for 10 bucks. Thx OP. If you look at lumens these should be comparable to a 2 tube 4ft flourescent, but I bought one of those single tube ones from HF and it's WAY brighter. These LEDs are amazing.

I'm wondering this as well. If the cord is only 5 feet that doesn't give you much room between them.
it gives 5 feet between them LMAO

I bought several of these from Costco and BJs and I think they are all the same stuff internally if so you can mount it vertically, horizontally, or off the chains.

However "Linkable" in the ones I got did not mean they turn on each other with 1 pull. I had tu turn them all on individually. I even paid $20 per light and they were only 4000 lumens.
i hope these turn on all at once when in linkable mode

Any advantage of this type of light over multi-panel lights like this?
I have regular old school 1 lightbulb sockets you see in most garages. I'm going to replace the socket with one's that include a socket and a power outlet. They're cheap at HD. This way, I retain the bulb socket and can also plug in these lights.
I've also found lights like the one you posted to have lots of glare.

I'm guessing you're probably planning to replace the whole socket, but they also make a quick-fix adapter that adds an outlet to a bulb socket in case it's one of those things that's low on the project list. Smilie

I have a fully equipped functional garage attached to the house. These are not for lighting your garage. This would be ok in a child's play house, or as a lamp over a desk area.. but not much else. Keep your expectations low on this "deal" because it's not actually a deal, nor is it very good quality. A high percentage of these units arrive broken or not working properly. More plastic garbage made in china.
Then just return it. What'd you expect for $10?

Anyone know the wattage while on and the power consumption while off but motion sensing?
I thought I saw it said 45 W rated power (while on). I would guess the motion sensing wouldn't draw much at all.

By the way … this is indeed a pretty small light, physically. I picked up one of the 4 foot shop lights last year and figured this was just a shorter version of that. But I looked when I was in the store earlier and this is quite a bit smaller all round. It's definitely more like what you'd see mounted under a cabinet or over a workbench as an area light. It may very well light a garage, but it may also look a bit odd if you're used to seeing a regular 4 foot fluorescent fixture. A pic from the open end of the box is attached. It looks like the dimensions are about 3" x 1". (It also shows the two-prong AC outlet for linking them.

Thanks...I know those exist. I just prefer to replace the entire socket.
