I just bought 6 of these at $15. They are very bright and it is nice to have them turn on walking into the shop. I can't say how long they will last, but they work good for me.

I was looking for a cheep lightweight light for over my workbench and this is perfect. Brightness is good. Haven't tried the motion detection yet, if that works good it will be icing on the cake.

I left mine on for an hour and it felt very warm on the back. I suppose it could be called hot, but nothing that would make me worried about a fire or anything. And I could keep my hand on it without hurting. I checked with an IR thermometer and it showed 115 to 119 degrees F at the hottest parts. I wouldn't really be concerned about it, but it could be something to consider if flush-mounting to something that might be discolored by heat over time.

Not sure if anyone mentioned it but the light has a power outlet on the side so you can link multiple lights together. They don't recommend using the power outlet for anything else.

That's a possibility, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone handling them in the warehouse or delivery route grabbed them quickly and they slipped out or something. The end of the boxes just tuck to close and aren't taped shut.
