Actually, you can move while these are in sensor mode without tripping them… You just have to move really slowly… I tested it… Of course we're talking a few centimeters per minute but hey, you can practice your next bank job with these things, lol!

I was looking for a cheep lightweight light for over my workbench and this is perfect. Brightness is good. Haven't tried the motion detection yet, if that works good it will be icing on the cake.
Make sure to get two. It's bright but you'll want to reduce shadows. Also the motion detection seems closer than I had imagined. If you mount these on 10'+ ceilings don't expect good consistency.

As others stayed it does get pretty hot. Doesn't burn my hand but warmer than I suppose I expected too. 115F as someone stated sounds right.

Because most people buy these for dark corners of their garage, when they need a temporary light to grab a tool .

It ain't rocket science
100% this. Lining them up against the walls. Will save some power with them only coming on when I go into those zones and supplement the main overheads. Also finding it nice to not have to walk all the way to the power switch when I just want some fast tools stored on other side and vice versa on shutoff. Had for three days and already beneficial twice in this manner.

it does come with a diffuser but still causes glare if placed where you might directly look into it

it's bright but the range is somewhat limited given its only 3' long. A single light won't be sufficient to lit an area that's more than 15'

Solo is OOS, 2 pack for 19.94 is only option. I'll pay the extra 6¢ for a 2 pack. Got 4 lights total.

Can these be hardwired? Or am I better off putting an outlet where the existing fluorescent is now?
I had a fluorescent fixture that was hardwired and wanted to replace with an LED fixture. I simply installed a receptacle and plugged the fixture into the receptacle.

Also, I hated the small light bulbs that were installed into the garage door opener. I bought a "light bulb converter to an outlet" and installed into one of the bulb outlets, then plugged the fixture into that outlet.

Not sure if it's mentioned or not, but don't forget to use Chase Freedom card or PayPal (using Freedom card) to get 5% cash back this quarter.

These are no worse than the old incandescent light fixtures, probably cooler than many even following the rated wattage of usually 60 to 75 watts. I once took one down that had only been mounted for a few years...it had two 60 watt traditional light bulbs. Even with fiberglass insulation separating the fixture from the ceiling, it scortched and cracked the ceiling paint.

Motion sensing goes through floors. I installed three of these in my garage. My office is above my garage. I have learned that the motion sensor goes through floors so I've been illuminating my garage day and night anytime I enter my office.

How do they "link"?

Is it wireless or does one just simply plug into the next via the power wire?
Maybe if Tesla was still around
