As others stayed it does get pretty hot. Doesn't burn my hand but warmer than I suppose I expected too. 115F as someone stated sounds right.
It ain't rocket science
it's bright but the range is somewhat limited given its only 3' long. A single light won't be sufficient to lit an area that's more than 15'
Also, I hated the small light bulbs that were installed into the garage door opener. I bought a "light bulb converter to an outlet" and installed into one of the bulb outlets, then plugged the fixture into that outlet.
