Dicks is putting forth some great deals on Brooks this season. I snagged a pair of Caldera 6 for $93. Ran in it yesterday and it was a dream. It's rare that a shoe just works with my feet and knees right out of the box.
Sadly, Brooks doesn't seem to make any low drop road shoes. The Caldera has a 6mm drop with rocker sole. All their road shoes are more traditional and built for heel strikers. Brooks needs to make a road version of the Caldera and put HOKA out to pasture.

Correct. Brooks doesn't have a road shoe that is anything like the Caldera. That's a hole they need to fill. The Brooks lineup is lacking a max cushion low drop road shoe. That's a product segment where HOKA dominates. But it doesn't have to be that way.

I got a pair of Nimbus lite 2 coming for the "main/premium" shoe.
I used Kayanos since the 16 to 21 (2015) era, but switched to Ultraboosts for a while. This BF got me to try Asics again with Nimbus.
At $15, I'll try to slip ons too.
I have a $20 off $75 for use in December so, perhaps I can grab a pair of Nimbus 24 (to try out FF Boost) too.
There's a sale for everybody and stores are counting on everybody buying lol.
