I shied away from buying this for $269 with FireTV and bought the cheaper $199 55" 4K UHD A65 Google TV version at Costco - If I must have a TV with built in streaming features, I'd would much rather have GoogleTV. I bought the 55" inch to hand on the brick wall of my outside covered porch. Color is bright and speakers are good enough and if it disappears off my covered porch then I'm only out $200.

That model is currently $259. I have the 75" I bought last year and was happy for the price. I'm going to try this new model to use as an outdoor TV. Since it should be brighter being QLED.
edit.. looks like some stores are pricing it at 200 and it appears to be discontinued.

Literally just bought this Hisense QD6 on Father's Day for $299 to mount on our screened in porch on a brick fireplace. So far pretty impressed with it screen is bright enough for the sun my porch gets. The fire TV seems snappy enough although I'm comparing it to my other TVs which are at least 10 years old... Does anyone know if Costco will refund me the $30 difference?
edit just found this ...
Costco's 30-day price match policy means that members can obtain credit for items that drop in price within that time frame. A receipt is not even required, though it can help in tracking down your order, as all purchases are linked to your membership information.Feb 2, 2024

If the specs are identical, fair enough.
But FireOS is based on Android, so I wouldn't necessarily pass on it if the specs were better.
Most of Amazon's devices can be modified to switch out the launcher for GoogleTV, so it's hardly a case of being stuck with one or the other.

First of all, no, don't seek out Costco for your old TVs.
Second of all, if you want your new TV to last, don't mount it anywhere near direct sunlight.
New TVs come with a UVA coating that lasts a year, and that's being generous. The same goes for your prescription glasses, sunglasses, window tint, etc. It's all sacrificial and doesn't last anywhere near as long as they claim.

Pretty sure this person meant two separate things: (1) comparing his new TV from Father's Day 2024 with TVs from 10 years ago (2) wondering if he can get a price refund for the difference of that Father's Day 2024 TV, not the old ones. Just a clarification for other readers too.

Definitely, go for whichever is cheaper, most people put their own streaming stick, or don't care which one it is
