    I've had two pairs and honestly feel like these were a fad shoe that have gone out of style. Both pairs pilled and eventually developed holes in the toe box with regular wear (no sports/running). Would not recommend.

    In my experience, the Mizzle waterproofing has two effects on the fabric: it becomes stiffer and doesn't stretch as much, and it also makes your feet sweaty if you don't wear socks (which makes sense since water can't get out very well, either).
    The waterproofing does work pretty well, but it definitely comes at the expense of comfort.

    i love Allbirds - the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn (ON cloud is close, though). I bought some for my wife and she didn't think they were comfortable.

    So make sure you buy one from a place that accepts returns. The GPay + Amex discount on allbirds.com is the best I've seen in the recent sales

    Recently bought wool mizzies in store in a 10.5 as they didn't have any 10s. Wore them for a 1.5 mile walk and they tore up the back of my right foot. Mail ordered 10s and wore them for a 2 mile walk around the hood and they were even worse on back of my left foot. Was wearing darn tough socks. Wife returned both to store without issue. Had ordered the trail shoes from BF sale at $84 pair, waiting for back of feet to heal up before I try these.

    Store has buy one pair and get second at 30% off.

    I agree the design doesn't. However the company is carbon neutral and unfortunately being carbon neutral is expensive. However as it's getting cheaper it's nice to see they can finally offer legitimate sales for their products as they couldn't for a while

    I have 3 pair of different Allbird shoes. I can wear these without socks on cold days and not feel a thing. They are great to wear, very comfortable. The oldest one is almost 3 yo and other than them looking really dirty, I have not had any quality issue. I use them for casual wear and not for any type of sporting activity.

    Overall, I love these shoes - I did not buy because they are good for the environment - only that I liked the feel and design on them.
