Nominated as one of America's best-loved novels by PBS's The Great American Read
It's an ordinary Thursday morning for Arthur Dent . . . until his house gets demolished. The Earth follows shortly after to make way for a new hyperspace express route, and Arthur's best friend has just announced that he's an alien.

With just a towel, a small yellow fish, and a book, Arthur has to navigate through a very hostile universe in the company of a gang of unreliable aliens. Luckily the fish is quite good at languages. And the book is

Same with me. Had to check my kindle. Been dragging the big book to kids karate classes. Wish it was the whole collection though since I'm halfway through Hitchhikers guide. Don't care about the pictures.
Oh, $9.99 for whole set. Nice. Have lots of slow ship credits from Christmas shopping.
No illustrations
Alternatives abound. library, used bookstore, borrow, torrent, etc. A lot of companies seem to think they are the only game in town when there is a lot of competition. I've been switching com companies and products a lot lately for that and saving money.
In this case, I already own multiple copies of it. Only if it was cheaper would I buy a copy for my kindle.
