Hi. I just started a new thread so more people will see it and take advantage of the price. It was 5 in the morning and I don't believe as many people browse the deal talk section.

I am not familiar with rep churning and don't care much about internet rep points. All credit to the original poster who's post was moved to deal talk.

Wanted to add that these are great if you want security camera that you can go back and view recordings without needing to have a subscription. Just add an SD card, connect these to your wifi and use their app to go back and see the last x days of footage.

I got a new router because I got a new ISP. I had always used Cox because they were the only option in town, but joyfully switched to tmobile home internet once I found out that their speeds were actually quite fast at my house. I tried to set up a second network on my router for the cameras, but the system just didn't respond well to it. We were mostly just using it as a baby monitor and my daughter is 5 now, so it's not really needed anyways.

I picked up a cheap used wireless router from a thrift store and use it.

It's "better." I put it in quotes because it's almost to the point of being annoying. Mine pick up changes in ambient light from headlights at night and send me a push notification, even though I disabled the whole road from the recording area. I had to mute them because the notifications were coming in so f'ing frequently at night.
