I had a nice burn in from the stupid channel in the corner or the TV. Like channel 4 news would have a 4 in the corner. Channel 7, 2 all have it and even some networks like FX, etc. I had a network logo burned into my TV lower corner. It can happen and it does.
Was it on this exact tv? Or what tv did this happen to you with?

glad most people are like you. So I'm able to take advantage and buy these refurb deals. I only recall one refurb item being not that good, which was a PSP which came a bit scratched. I never buy extra warranty either woohoo 🇺🇸

Amen,
No amount is ridiculous if it allows you to get a product you otherwise couldn't/shouldn't afford at a significant discount. Paid almost 3K for my 8K years ago and got an almost brand new TV at over half price. Viva la Slickdeals!
Well if you are getting a SIGNIFICANT discount, that's one thing. This discount is not that significant. We were seeing 77" C1 going for around 2k during BF. Heck, you can get a B2 for 2k at Costco. A $200 savings? That's 10%. That is not significant enough to go refurb. Especially on a high end BIG TV. We are not talking about some Amazon warehouse usb charger that if it doesn't work, we can drop it off and return easily. If something is not to your complete liking, there's a lot money time and effort to ship this back (and hope they will pay for the return shipping). Way too much risk on refurb for a TV.

If you look hard enough, you might even get brand new ones for even closer in price to this than you think. But what do I know, it's not like I got a new C2 77" at target for $1850+tax.

FWIW, I got the 65" A1 last week and the TV is great with no dedectable usage (packaging made it appear brand new). That said, it had ~500 hours of usage on it on arrival. Was really surprised by the number.

How long ago was this? I've heard some absolute nightmare stories about allstate refusing to honor warranties
May not be a TV, but had great service with a Whirlpool fridge and Dyson Vacuum. Both issued checks after 1 call.

The latter was just a dead spinning brush, got 80% of the $400 spent, $320 - just for that, since they didn't do 'repairs' or specific part replacements. Bought a replacement brush for $100 with the check and still running strong today.

The fridge needed a new door since the door itself cut some of the wires at the bottom, which powered the ice machine - no other issues (later known to be a common issue with the particular fridge) - full paid value check issued.
