The oral B is much better in terms of longevity but I stopped using it since the brush head would accumulate black mold and gunk since there are holes/openings in the head. I had a cough for a few months that eventually went away once I switched back. Not entirely sure if it was the cause but the only reason I could pinpoint. The sonicare is sealed completely with no holes or crevices for the part that goes in your mouth making it way more hygienic.

1. Yes it does brush your teeth cleaner than ordinary non-electronic toothbrush, a supprising benefit is the built in timer will make sure you brush each side of your teeth long enough(it will vibrate in a different way once in a while to let you know you should move on to next side).
2. You still need to floss your teeth, electronic toothbrush is not magic.
3. I find different brushing "mode" make little difference.
4. There are a lot of fake sonicare brush head on the market.

Philips made an attempt to remind you change tooth brush head with their newer generations by embeding a small NFC chip in the brush head, a small icon will light up each time you put on an "overused" brush head. Luckily unlike some printer company their DRM will not stop you brushing your teeth. Theoretically, though, this NFC chip is to help remember preference if you share the handle with family memebers by putting on different brush head.

The app was actually useful to me, dentist said I was scrubbing too fast but app helped me kick that habit by warning me when I did so.
Only complaints are the TongueCare+ brush head is impossible to find and sometimes brush heads will break early (loud noise), but very overall happy with it.
If I didn't already have the 9750, would get this for the compact travel case... The one that came with mine takes up too much space, but battery lasts 2 weeks so mostly leave it at home.
