One better option would be to buy the Roku Ultra, which includes the remote. Costco has a two-pack (1x Roku Ultra 4K and 1x Roku Stick 4K) that would include one remote with the feature and one without, all for $90.

My Roku Ultra 4660 had a remote with remote finder. If you want to know remote model, it is RC-AL4. I do not use this remote that much since it does not have mute button.
An LG G1 OLED and a Samsung QN90a
I absolutely dont think I can see any difference in picture quality switching between the two on either TV.However, I have had to restart the Rokus a few times over the last year due to either flickering picture or a popping sound in the audio. I have only had to restart the Apple TV once
And of course jumping through hoops on apple's site in CASE it's defective, which I doubt. I bet you anything they won't even replace it because I bought it over 1 year ago, but they did not SHIP it until less than 1 year ago. Someone said apple goes by purchase date, which would be pathetic when it didn't ship for weeks.

Try SDR setting in Apple TV output, or adjust HDR settings on your TV.

If I REALLY am desperate, I can use my meters and calibrate a tv mode specifically for the apple. Or actually even then i don't know if i can because the apple tv would need an app that has slides for it... where I can tell where the issues are.
That reminds me too, though, I have sued it on 2 tvs, an oled and plasma and on both of them it had looked worse than the roku. I could try the apple tv calibration feature, but then it's definitely going to be inaccurate since an actual tv calibration would be much better.

Can you choose color range on TV? Full range vs reduced range can be mis-negotiated and would wash out whites and crush blacks.
Just a thought. Good Luck.

If it weren't such a headache to activate a device, I'd buy another and see if it looks the same, but now I am down to 1 year since the shipping date so no time. I messed up and wasted money I guess, even if it turns out it's defective somehow.
And the overall experience of apple tv is so nice too so I wish it would look the same.
It shows the devices that is still supported and not supported.
It looks like it from the website. But I know the Wal-Marts around here had a lot of these left over from Black Friday. Just wondering if their still being sold for $30 at the store?
I started with Roku from their Roku2 version. Each upgraded model over time rendered the HDCP error at random. I switched out cables, using the best that monoprice offered, tried different hdmi ports but still no luck. The fix was to power down the roku and have it go through a reboot.
Last year, out of frustration, I purchased Apple TV 4K model. So, same tv, same cable, no more HDCP issue. Over time, i now have replaced all my Rokus with Apple TV streamers. I do miss the roku simplicity but have gotten used to Apple TV.
This is just a perspective, not a bash of roku. If you plan to get one, just be aware of this HDCP bug.
