Let's see if they drop this lower for Xmaxxx/New Year's. Would bite for 999, given that Dell offered XPS 8950 for 849 (12700, 3060Ti, 16GB DDR5, 1TB SSD + 1TB HDD)
Good point

These sellers should describe the MB with make and model #.
You know they have something to hide.

Would I benefit from upgrading my PC to this; or a similar setup in the near future?

I would like to sell my PC and get whatever I can for it since I can't upgrade the PSU for a better GPU in the future anyway; it's one of those proprietary Dell Vostro 5890 SFF builds I got for $470 last year, that I've slowly upgraded into what it is right now.

Intel Core i5-10400
RTX 3060 Ti FE
16GB DDR4
500GB NVMe SSD
1TB 2.5 SSD
2TB 7200 RPM HDD
Noctua NH-D9L CPU Cooler
460W PSU

I've heard there isn't much difference between the 3060 Ti and 3070, as well as a lot of Core i5 to i7 processors for gaming, so I'm a little hesitant about upgrading or whether I could even get something for it. I do know I will never be able to upgrade the PSU or GPU because of the size of the case and the proprietary PSU Dell connections; the case's power button is proprietary to the SFF PSU.

If you buy a prebuilt be sure you know the MB it has.

I'd say no, this one looks much more upgradable than what you have but you are still going to be stuck needing a new PS and GPU to get any meaningful upgrade from what you have. Granted, you would actually have that option if you went with something like this but if you are dead set on a pre-built I'd look for one that uses off the shelf parts... And preferably gives you an actual upgrade right away.

After taking a step back, I think you're right. There's no point in upgrading right now unless I was willing to upgrade to an RTX 3080 or better; which I can't right now. I'll just milk this build for as long as I can. I doubt anyone will give me close to what I invested on the thing anyway.

That has the 12700F and DDR4 fwiw. I'd pay the $100 more for this.

PSUs and Mobos are the Achilles heel of every pre-built. You can get away with a cheaper mobo but there is no excuse for cheaping out on the one thing that affects every component in your system.

The product page shows "Costco extends the manufacturer's warranty up to 2 years from the date of purchase." which means 1 year with manufacturer warranty and one additional from Costco. Purchasing with the Costco Citi card would extend this to 4 total years, right?

I read somewhere on SD that they're going to stop providing this extra warranty starting next year.

The extended warranty protections will end for new purchases made on or after Jan. 22, 2023.

They'll still honor extended warranty on purchases made before that date, however. Hence wanting confirmation that we'd get 4 years total Smilie

Running Cinnebench R23 I get about 16k multicore CPU score when its supposed to be around 21k. Lenovo throttled these CPUs down and someone mentioned messing with a bunch of settings to get it within 5% performance or so, are there any more tweaks that can fix this?
Can I change the PL1 and PL2 levels as well on this CPU safety to the default spec or does it really matter in the end if Im just going to do gaming and rendering benchmarks arent typical performance?
