Directions to convert this to other formats if you don't have or want to read it using a Kindle:
1. Download Calibre (latest version)
2. Download and install appropriate Calibre Plugins to remove DRM
3. Download and install older version of Kindle for the desktop
4. Sign-in to Amazon within the installed Kindle for desktop
5. Download your Kindle book to your desktop
6. Open the downloaded book in Calibre (automatic DRM removal will occur)
7. Convert to whatever format you want (I choose PDF)
8. Profit

I followed the direction in the above link. Took about 10 minutes to setup and 1 minute to convert to PDF.

Don't forget to disable auto update in the desktop kindle app or it will update itself to the latest version and this won't work anymore.

I got a hard copy of this book as a homeowner/diyer and paid full price for it. Definitely handy book to have around. I find myself referring to it whenever I start planning for a project.

I thought about getting this since I have some digital credits expiring in a couple of weeks. But... anytime I've started a new project, or needed wiring advice, I've always been able to find answers quickly online.

I would have thought so, but I just finished a LOT of projects installing smart outlets and switches in my house. Firm answers were hard to come by on the internet (I was surprised also!). I bought this and paged through it and was finding it well organized and thorough and answers all in one place (plus, I trusted the source, as opposed to all the random youtube videos). Worth $3, imho!

I used to get great advice on with Google and YouTube, but in recent years I spend twice as much time trying to determine if the advice is sound, especially with YouTube. You can get hurt following a lot of advice on YouTube these days. Thanks OP, used some expiring credits.

Awesome deal!!! Thanks so much OP! I had the hard copy in my cart for the longest time but this will do just fine as I had some credits to use. This book is highly recommended by many and is much better to have for a reliable information.

Great book, but consider whether you are someone who can work from a kindle device/app. If you can't picture yourself flipping digital pages during a project, consider getting the softcover.

This is what I normally do too, but google has gotten so bad lately it's nice to have an actual reference that knows what it is talking about.

I had just made the purchase and with the Kindle/DRM changes, I couldn't figure out how to be able to make it accessible on my Calibre (which you also reminded me to update) Repped!
I hope purchasing 'before' I saw this info didn't throw a wrench in the spokes.
