If your Girlfriend wants a gift card, then get her a gift card. However I'm going to guess that is not the case. If you can't think of a gift, think of a day that she would enjoy. Indoor sky diving, Paint your own pottery, Day at the Museum, surely there is something she has mentioned that she wanted to do, but you weren't super excited to do. These ideas would also technically be giving her a gift certificate, so please also give her a really and I do mean a REALLY thoughtful handwritten card w/ the the gift certificate

This is what I would want, instead of makeup or perfume unless you know EXACTLY the kind she wears or wants. She can always go buy that for herself but a day of memories is a one-of-a-kind gift.

I need to give my girlfriend something for Christmas but have no idea what to give her anyone have any suggestions? Something around $50. If I can't find anything just going to give her a gift card..
Honestly, I'm a lady and I love gift cards so I pick exactly what I want. That being said, don't get her this, probably not the best quality. If you do get her a gift card, Sephora is a lot of fun, they have a huge selection of beauty items. Ulta would be my second pick.

And perfume is a very personal thing, I wouldn't like the Nest set, I prefer more gourmand, foody scents. I think it'd be really difficult to get her perfume without knowing exactly what she likes.

Get her perfume or a nice bracelet or necklace. You can find cute ones on Amazon under 50.

What does she like? I personally love candles and comfy pjs. I wouldn't want someone buying me makeup or hair products unless I specifically bring up something I want. It's too brand and color specific. Just pay attention to what she likes and I'm sure you can easily come up with something in your price range.

Girlfriends like jewelry.... Amazon has some cute Kendra Scott earrings in the $50 range.

I disagree with perfume makeup and jewelry. That is so stereotypical. I would say that only works for a brand new gf and you are looking for a very generic gift. I don't wear makeup or perfume. I rarely wear jewelry. I think a membership to something you both would enjoy doing together would be great. Last year I had a six flags membership which would be great. I have previously enjoyed botanical garden or museum memberships. How about concert tickets? A membership to the local theater? I miss living someplace without a lecture series and would die for a subscription to one of those. You really have to know what they like though. A bidet would be nice (you install). A trip somewhere if you can figure out dates and location. For me my favorite presents over the years have been inexpensive items that are new to me that I never have heard of. If you are looking for inspiration try spending some time on Uncommon Goods. They have lots of great gift stuff it just tends to be a bit pricey. Also I tend to like the buzzfeed lists. Even if you find nothing for her there... You might find some items you could use!

If you know she loves jewelry... either wow her with something amazing ($$$$) or get something sentimental that means something to her and you. Like seriously make it a little card to go with it and say I picked this out because it reminds me of that great day we went to the park together and that was to remember your grandmother I am so glad I got a chance to meet her before she passed and this is a cute little in joke that we share together... Etc. There are lots of artists out there that can customize something for you if you can't find just the right thing.

Oh I almost forgot. I also enjoyed another gift. My family paid for a favorite actor to record a message specially for me. I don't think he dictated it word for word. They told him my name and about me, and he personalized it himself.

Checked these out the other day. They are extremely flimsy. The shelves that come out wobble right out of the gate. Very cheap. Should be 5 dollars for even the most expensive ones.
