Has full preouts for anyone needing this run to an external amp.
Bi amping is using 2 amplifiers (or 2 individual channels of amplification) for the same speaker (provided it has 2 sets of red and black binding posts). So rather than running ~70 watts to one set of posts and using a jumper to connect those posts to the other posts, spreading the wattage between 2 crossovers, one for lows and one for mids and highs, you would run ~70 watts to EACH set of binding posts, so each crossover gets 70 watts to fuel lows, and mids and highs. When using an AVR that can 'only' provide 30-100 watts to a speaker, biamping can provide needed headroom to the speaker so that it can handle all the dynamic highs and deep impactful lows at reference volumes without dipping or clipping or otherwise. I highly recommend biamping power-hungry towers (especially if they're low sensitivity)if you're only using an AVR to power them (and not a powerful external amp) assuming you have the extra amplification channels available and your AVR has the capability. Be careful not to confuse biamping with biwiring, which is almost always useless and a waste of money.

Also, I wouldn't trust Yamaha just based on the blatantly false advertising on this unit's capability for "restoring" information lost to compression. That is completely impossible, and they absolutely know it.

This feature legitimately makes poorer quality tv show streams sound clearer, more intelligible and less harsh sounding on my speakers.
Nothing as it sounds good but I just have some old mirage floor standing speakers hooked up to it now. I was debating on keeping the B&W anniversary edition speaker and not unboxing them. I have tried the B&W center speaker and like it. I also have tried a definitive tech cs9060 and while it sounds good the built in amp going out scares me. I'm just trying to figure out where I should go and if I should keep the B&W and return the DT Center speaker and 6100. Would I see a big sound difference with this Yamaha over the 6100 when hooking up all the B&W speakers? Yeah I'm not one that normally uses the sound correction in systems so not sure I would get much our of Dirac live but this all becomes interesting trying to find the best sound. This all started off as just find good receiver with 2.1 HDMI and good sound to a better system. I also ordered a Monolith 12 inch subwoofer to replace my Klipsch R10 SW. This all started when my Yamaha VR 673 had handshake problems with my 77 LG C1 TV. When playing anything whether going through the receiver Apple TV or PS5 Hooked directly to the TV. The VR 673 doesn't have HDMI 2.1 so I had to run PS5 to TV and then used receiver ARC channel to pass sound back from TV. The Apple TV worked fine before with the VR 673 with an older TV so I knew I needed a new receiver to work with my new TV.
Why not run all your components to the LG C1 then one HDMI out to your ARC in the receiver? I've got my Samsung 85" QN90A outputting to the ARC in my Yamaha RXV 675. My speakers are all Mirage with a Omni Sub. Sounds amazing. It's a simple 5.1 setup that I set up myself with the built in parametric EQ and a tape measure. Always sounds better than the mic and software.

I did do that with my VR-673 and was having issues. I mean I still had my Apple TV going through the receiver since I didn't need HDMI 2.1 with that one. I did have the PS5 and X going directly to the TV and sound coming back through the ARC from TV to Receiver and was having delays in sound coming in(10 Minutes) and popping sound. Now with the NR6100 I have all going through the receiver since it can and no issues. Just worried that If I switch to this Yamaha I might have some issues even with the firmware update.

All the new AVRs have the 2.1 bug. They need the hardware update. Not a great time to be in the market.

I'm not having any issues with the NR6100 and since I only spent $200 for it I might just keep it and wait until new units with nicer features come without HDMI bugs from the start come out for reasonable prices.
Did you try in store or online? I've had great success with getting price matches done online. Just open a chat and ask the person if they can price match. You then have an option of shipping or instore pickup. Before you try authorize your credit card for a large purchase. The last thing you want to happen is get it approved and your credit card gets declined.

Gave up and ordered the Denon X3700H directly from Denon for $1199. They have 60 days free returns. X3700H seems to be the sweet spot for quality components and value.

If you comfortable making adjustments to your sound I would suggest looking at purchasing the Audyssey MultEQ Editor app.
It adds very beneficial adjustments that better RC's like Dirac gives you, it's easier to use IMO.
For the $20 it is well worth it's weight in gold IMO.
I wasn't familiar with Marantz Cinema unti now. Seems intriguing, but does the Cinema 60 support HDMI 2.1 and support full 48gbps? Their website isn't clear on this key point, I want future proof as is reasonable for around $1k. Curious if you know.
Three inputs have full HDMI 2.1 support, the others are 4K/60. So if you somehow have more than 3 HDMI 2.1 devices (or plan on getting them) you may want to get something else.

Thanks. I plan on it. One of the main reasons why I got Denon was Audyssey. I currently own an older Denon with basic Auddessey and it's great in my experience.

I would recommend taking a listen to everything and if you find something you are happy with you are done.
IMO nothing tells you what the "best sound" is to you better than you listening for yourself!
