Is this a name brand? Looks cool but not sure about the warranty or after Purchase support
They've been around for a decent amount of time. Their stuff on Amazon has like 30,000-80,000 reviews. It's a popular brand. I've been using 3 of their devices for around a year now. I actually prefer the app (and air purifiers) over my two Dysons and the Dyson app.
I just bought one recently …like it but humidity reading is always off. Constantly shutting off because my rooms humidity is showing at 80% on the unit I got. My other humidity reader shows 39% RH. Not sure if I got a defective unit or if this is a common problem.

Second this. My levoit humidifier is constantly turning off out of the blue.
Levoitt has been selling 4.5L cool mist humidifiers for around $30 for many years. You're basically paying even more to have "hot mist" and wifi.
Be real careful about bacteria too with humidifiers of this design. Wick based designs are better at preventing airborne bacteria where these versions can spread bacteria easily if not cleaned daily after each use. Letting any water sit on it over night will absolutely promote bacteria every single time.
I highly suggest looking into it before you take a bad cold into a full blown lung infection.

i have the opposite problem, it's constantly turning on as soon as the humidity drops below my setting and i can't seem to keep it off when i want it off.
The problem with cool mist/humidifiers is bacteria.
Vaporizers/warm mist devices are much safer and low maintenance. They boil and steam the water. So any bacteria is killed.
Go read wirecutters article on humidifiers. They completely ignore these aspects and say they're, "dangerous" because of the steam and device being hot... Rubbish.
I have a $15 Vicks vaporizer and you'd have to be an idiot to get injured by it. It's not difficult to put it on a shelf or something out of reach of children. And it's not hot enough for pets to get injured either.
Do minor research and you'll see they're much better and safer. Especially in the winter when they're needed. Condolences to people in hot and dry areas. It does heat up a bed room, but is easily negated by ac or a fan imo.
