You want 30+ for indoor. This would be ok for outdoor pistol, but I wouldn't do more than that.

Are these any good for indoor monster truck shows? Anytime I go to the shows they run out so I'm stuck helping cover my kids ears.

Seems like these would be adequate: https://www.noisyplanet.nidcd.nih...ck-rallies

Certainly far better than using your hands, and could be supplemented with ear plugs if needed.

I use similar ones over AirPod Pros when I'm using power tools, shop vac, and blowing leaves. The hearing protection hits the stem of the AirPods but it does work - albeit with a bit of a hassle. Used this way I can listen to podcasts with no problem regardless how loud things are around me.
