It takes like 10 seconds to wash these and you're already washing dishes so you're not wasting any more soap and water. You wasted more time and resources posting this useless opinion.

The review about mildew, it was because the water was not dried or it was easy to mildew

Rinse with hot water and don't put it in the dishwasher and you should have no issues

These are the most impractical thing ever.

You waste more energy and chemicals (soap, water) cleaning these than anything "saved". And, your time is money, and money = spent resources.

If plastic straws are that big a problem for you, you can not use them at all, or steer for something more biodegradable. This nonsense about re-usable straws is ridiculous.

No, they are very, very practical and we have been using these for years.
My daughters especially when they were kids in elementary they used to drink everything though straws, we used to buy the disposable, it's too much waste of plastic, so my wife bought this, not only they are really strong, good quality plastic like water bottles. Comes with a brushing for cleaning. Wife washed them every night with dishes hand wash not machine, leave them to dry. Never had any issues.

You're making a huge assumption here…. Washing dishes already.
