It's crazy how the build quality has improved on the newer figures since the '80s when I was playing with them. This first Devastator/Tonkanator was flimsy as all get-out and the figures regularly fell off the cheap connectors that held together the large robot.

Now, everyone leaves bad reviews. Back then, I'd play with a rickety figure at a friend's and STILL ask for it for Christmas. It's what we had. 🤣

Because this is a mash-up with Tonka. Think of it like the Pepsi Optimus Prime. It's a novelty Transformer and not part of the story at large.

It's kind of amusing, because Tonka used to make a competitor to the Transformers, Go-Bots. Now that Tonka is a part of Hasbro, I guess Go-Bots and Transformers are the same thing.

They're just a repaint of the Constructicons to Tonka flavor. If I didn't have a knock-off version of the constructicons I like a good bit, this would be a buy.

Cancelled: The combined Tonkinator is only 8" tall, I read 18" in description, reviews prove otherwise.
