I have a few Sypder jackets that I have purchased and they were all pretty good quality given that I paid around $20-$40 for them. I'm not planning on handing them down to my kids like my Filson coats, but those were significantly more expensive than my Spyder items.

And if one likes Spyder but you don't like the selection at Woot, Sierra Trading Post usually carry's a broad selection.

Not the full zip.

Paid $35 for the full zip off woot back in 2020, but I guess with inflation that's about right.

RIP Spyder. They were so dank back in the 90's. Even up into the '10's they were pretty good.

When we lived in ski territory in the 90's, Spyder was the best combination of protection and lightweight performance. Just behind North Face for best winter gear. Just ahead of Marmot and Columbine. Mine still come out, when they fit (rarely) So sorry to hear the quality has suffered. Always worth a trip to Colorado to check out the best of the current gear, and find the best prices. Ski the Pass!

You're referring to Spyder products bought from 3rd party or in a big box retail setting. Products purchased from the Spyder website directly are genuine and still of great quality in my opinion. I've seen no drop off in any form. I bought a couple Spyder jackets for my kids from Woot and they are branded differently than the Spyder direct products and the quality is noticeably different, but since the kids will only wear them one or two seasons and probably ruin them, I'll take the knockoff prices all day 😂
