Yes it's cheaper, but usually the treadmills are crap quality. It's what I am currently doing. Bought a treadmill from Walmart back in 2015 for $275 and it's still running buy it's definitely a piece of crap. I put my iPad on it and it works, but had to put some grip so it doesn't risk sliding/falling off.

Once this treadmill eventually bits the dust (probably another year or two), I will treat myself to a nice treadmill as a reward.

It works just like any other treadmill without wifi connection. You just don't have access to the online apps/programs.

I am a Peloton sucker haha. I own the Bike, Tread, and Row. I wish I purchased the Tread+ while it was still available at the time if I knew how much I'd enjoy their normal Tread, which is awesome. Outside of the classes which make the overall experience, I love the speed and incline adjustment knobs. I tried using another treadmill recently at the gym and have been spoiled by the on-the-fly adjustments I can make on my Peloton. I like that the Bowflex supports -5% to 15% decline/incline. My Peloton only goes from 0 - 12.5% (the Tread+ does 0 - 15%). Great deal on the Bowflex, as long as you use it.

I thought about it but decided against it. However, I did use my Costco credit card which extends the warranty by another 2 years.

Is there a reason it needs to be a treadmill? Ellipticals are much less hard on joints and hit similar muscles if that's the issue.
