That's Henckles cheaper line of knives.
That set is their budget set, which are all made in India from what the employee said. The 4 star is their mid tier, made in Germany. You can usually tell by the logo.

Thanks for pointing out the email promo. Rep given. I ended up getting the four star set instead with the 15%. After adding the serrated 5", the pro is almost double the four star, which I just can't justify given same metal, warranty, etc. hope we like them

You're better off buying the knives you want individually. You almost certainly don't need half of what is in there.

I have a very similar kit of these pro knives. Although it's strange to me this set doesn't have a carving knife in it, I suppose the prep knife (which isn't part of my set) would cover a lot of what I use my carving knife for.

Really love the pro knives. I use them constantly and a few slides over the hone keeps them sharp enough for a long time without needing to pull out the sharpening stones. I don't think I would use the included 2 stage sharpener. By contrast, I have a Shun Premier chef's knife which feels a lot less like a tool and more like a pretty ornament that needs to be handled with great care to avoid chipping the blade. These Pro knives are a softer, less brittle metal, so you just go to work and don't have to even think about damaging the edge.

What? The two knives absolutely needed are a paring and a chefs. And you need shears. And a honing steel. The next knives that one will find as highly useful are a bread knife (I use one for lots of tasks that the other knives are not good for) and it's not bad to have a prep knife, although that one is not completely essential. The biggest waste is the sharpener as I recommend a lesson on how to sharpen using stones instead or just have someone sharpen them for you once a year. So the sharpener, the prep (kind of) and the block are unnecessary but not completely useless.

I have all except the bread knife, though I've gotten mine piecemeal. Paring and chef's knives are obvious needs, however, I have been pleasantly surprised by the prep knife. It's easily our favorite knife for most of our kitchen needs.

I don't know that I NEED a Pro bread knife, but it wouldn't be an unwelcome addition.

Edit: the knife block is great for the Pro series. It accommodates them better. 10/10 would recommend.

Having gone years without even a decent bread knife at home and working in kitchens with bad bread knives, a good bread knife is a game changer. Would absolutely recommend getting one.

Not a bad price for 4 useful knives and a block. Nice that the bolster doesn't extend into the blade edge
I dont use the steel for honing. Ceramic rods for honing and Lansky diamonds for sharpening or profiling.

I picked up this set at my local Zwilling Store front for 40% off sale price on BF, It was about $270 before taxes. Wanted a set with a santoku knife.

Edit: Citadel Outlet in SoCal if anybody is wondering. I found a lot of their prices were better than any of the online sales and their own website when comparing.

Put these knives on our wedding registry over 3 years ago. Best decision ever. Super sharp, well balanced, highly recommended. Buy these, you won't regret it.
