This would be an awesome deal if these plans weren't hard capped
Hard capped ie they overcharge?

Uh, just FYI, unless you've got some kind of secret deal going on, that plan isn't actually $15 though. US Mobile charges a $2 service fee every month along with a $1-$5 regulatory fee. So it's more like $18 to $22 per month (before tax). It's listed right on their plans page. Scroll down to the FAQ section and open up the one for "What are the taxes & fees". This is the one bad aspect to US Mobile. They're not straightforward with their prices.
The US Mobile pooled plan has no extra taxes or fees beyond the base $9.50 rate + $2/GB. So 5GB would total $19.50. Pretty good deal considering it's post paid level priority data on Verizon with a 5G phone. Plus it's more flexible because you can just add the data you need for a particular month at any time.

And yes, you can do a pool with one line.

I'm not too sure if they do. I just know there's no unlimited slow data after using your high speed data

Tello has been terrible recently. I have mint, my wife has tello. At times, tello has no signal at all where mint gets 5g. Both on S22 ultra.

I see a 500MB plan for $5. Can I do this and add 1 GB at $2 each?
edit: just found out the $5 goes to $8.57 after taxes and fees.

Mint Mobile's 10 GB plan is $20/month for the first three months **and** it persists if you pay annually **after** your three months end.

EDIT: Seems Slickdeals doesn't support markdown.

I have unlimited Phone/text/data for $30

Unlimited data is 25GB then throttles you down to unlimited 2G.

You can teether or use your phone as a hot spot. I come home and set it as a hot spot and use it on my other devices. If you're not gaming or constantly downloading/streaming a lot 25GB goes pretty far.

Tello works well for me. One of the best benefits that no one talks about is free international calling to the destinations that T-Mobile supports part of international plan.
T-Mobile charges $15 for it whereas it's free on Tello

I switched my extra line from t-mobile to Tello and then to Hello mobile just for the international calling feature. I have the $5/month plan on Hello mobile that gives unlimited minutes.

I did this after T-mobile charged me $35 for a 10 minute emergency international phone call. It's ridiculous that TMO charges such a high price for international calls while including international roaming for free and their MVNO's also give international calling for free.

To get the Tello 5GB deal, you need to place the $10 order by December 16. When creating an account, don't forget to click referral code below "confirm password" so you get $10 Tello Dollars. After placing the order, you will then have 30 days to activate the new SIM. After activating the SIM, you request the port, but that does not have to be done right away if you want to stretch it out a little longer.

If I were to do this deal, I would get the 5GB for $10 for the first month, then downgrade for the second month, manually renewing the day before the scheduled autorenewal and redeeming Tello dollars. The unused data will roll over as long as you manually renew. I would probably get the 1GB/500 minutes for month two which would be fully covered by the referral rewards. So, I would get 6GB and two months of service for the initial $10. Then for month three, I would probably downgrade again to the 1GB/100 minutes for $7, again manually renewing a day early to roll unused data and whatever is left from the 500 minutes purchased for the second month. The nice thing about Tello is you can change plans every month if you decide you need more or less data/minutes.
When did Tello start rollover data and minutes? Is that a recent change?

No, it's been there for awhile and it's listed in the FAQ. But it does not work if you let your plan autorenew, so it takes extra work.

Will unused service carry over to the next month?
Unused service from your Tello plan will not carry over into your next month.
Any unused minutes or data will be lost after 30 days, when your plan is automatically renewed.
Once your plan is renewed automatically, your plan starts again with the fixed monthly allowance of minutes & data.

There is one exception:
Unused service WILL roll over ONLY if you manually renew or change your plan at least 24 hours before the end of your current billing cycle and ONLY if the new plan contains all the services that you previously had.
For example, the minutes & data of your current plan will roll over if the new plan has minutes & data.
However, if you decide to buy data only, the minutes will not roll over.

The taxes across the US and even within States are all over the board. I've been very happy so far with US Mobile here in N Cal, especially with the speed and solid Verizon coverage. Super good pricing and great c/s. Just did a speed check: 129 down/42 up. And I'm in the congested Bay Area, N CA.

I'm over 13GB on manual renewal, I have them remind you 48hrs ahead. I've never had a payment method on file, I just use Tello Referral credits. It's a backup line and not critical, more like an old habit that won't die.
