Is it possible to pair Samsung 4 or 5 watch with an android phone using just WiFi (but the phone is not activated with any Carrier or service provider)?

New user here (of the Samsung galaxy watch) so please bear with my question.

Got this version last week. Battery is notoriously bad, despite updates I've had to return it. Should have read the online reviews first.

no. There are WearOS-3 watches that work with iphones, but they are definetely in the minority.

The Tizen connectivity with iphones was pretty sparse to begin with.

Bought this last week for the same price.

The HR tracking does not work properly. Works in some activities but doesn't in others (like cycling, rowing). Tried all possible fixes suggested online - reboot watch, update software, enable only needed activities, disable others etc etc. No luck.

Thinking of returning it and getting a Garmin or Polar.

ECG doesn't work unless paired with a Samsung phone There is a workaround but it won't work out of the box.

I have the 44 LTE version of this i picked up refurb for 140 at Amazon couple months ago (now down to 132 now depending on color).

I am unsatisfied with battery life... wore maybe 5 times and its now off to FB marketplace (no good whatsapp/pandora appd either, which i regularly use). If anyone knows of one, I'm looking for a good compare outside of features on the 5 as people report back to the internet now thay its been out a while.
