I did not DV your comment, but I have to laugh because sometimes people are just so suspicious of SD deal posts. This is a $1K name brand (Whirlpool) Washer and Dryer set, from a well-regarded retailer (Costco) at a price that's close to what you might pay for lightly used, or scratch and dent set (in 2023, esp given high inflation, this is a pretty good price for a washer and dryer pair - delivered).

This is a good deal. I think you just get a bunch of people that TU it, and then move on w/o commenting. I was going to do the same, until I saw your comment about this deal being "fishy," which is a suggestion that "something smells," which is kinda ironic, since it's for deal on a washer machine...

No idea on the regular price at Costco. At Best Buy, each of these are listed at 944.99.

All of this information is pretty easy to find though. Just use the model numbers: WTW6120HW and WED6120HW.

I pulled the trigger because dryer just died and my washer is old too, plus Costco includes haul away and installation which separately would cost like ~$120 or more.

I have a very similar electric set. I think the biggest difference is that mine has the removeable agitator for bulky items like comforters. We leave it in 95% of the time though. Very satisfied with the quality about a year into ownership. Hopefully I'll say that 5 years on as well!

Washers are 120V, they don't need 240V or gas. It's just a control panel, pump, and motor to spin the drum. Water temp is either your home cold water, hot water, or a mix. There is no heater so there aren't gas washers.

Dryers use 240V or gas to provide the heat needed for drying.

Only Dryers have electric or gas options. Washers are always electric.
