For entertainment, yes. For elderly person, I'd say ios and iPados are more friendly as it locks down the user. For performance wise, yes it is good and probably nothing will come close to it's performance from android in this price range.
If you need sleeker looking then Air m1 is at 500 and open box from 380.


It is coming from someone who used this product for a month before passing it to a relative and ended up getting samsung s7. Apart from different os, the thing this ipad doesn't have is 4 speaker and better display with 120 hz on my samsung tablet but then they are not in the same price segment

Similar reason why I'm purchasing one. Older family member is retiring and wants one of these vice a laptop. For a new iPad this is probably the floor for entry price (2022 base models are currently on sale for $399).

Not a "cheap" option for watching movies, but they're old (easier to use) and this is what they asked for 🤷🏻 ♂️

For studying, media consumption and basic apps is this tablet fine? I'd rather save money to get this over the 10th gen. I just like the design better of the 10th.
