Bought these last time. Yes, they keep my coffee warmer than ceramic as the sides don't get hot so most of the heat is lost from the top. Happy with them.

Yea I got this and the costco bodum cups and the quality of the bodum are a lot better. The joyjolt felt a bit plastic on the handle. Im not sure why but after putting them both in my dishwasher the joyjolt definitely felt different afterwards. It was more coarse feeling on the handle. The cup itself seems to be fine bit the coarse feeling made the overall feel of the joyjolt feel cheap imo.

has nothing to do with it. the glass does not do the insulation here, it is the space between the 2 walls of glass that does the insulation, and yes, it does insulate significantly better than solid ceramic.

Good insulation, but thin glass. We don't put ours in the dishwasher. Accidental knocking can fracture or break the glass. Love the aesthetic and concept… but I prefer my regular heavy coffee mugs.
