This seems to come with the 2 year Allstate warranty
After a week with the same problem they started charging again, but the right one only last 1 ½ hour from full charge. This are the worst earphones/earbuds i have used.

Might want to consider the Samsung Buds Live. They sit in the ear different than any other buds.

I'd second that BUT they don't seal, so better if you're ok lacking bass

I had the battery issue with the ones I owned at launch. Culprit is a faulty firmware (1.4.2). For those with the problem reach out to Sony customer support via chat and describe the issue with the red blinking, overheating, and degraded battery life. Many cases such as mine they offered to send a new replacement without proof of purchase and outside of warranty at no cost to me, just send in the old one. Many DPs of this as of last month.
See the megathread on the SonyHeadphones subreddit - "WF-1000XM4 - Severe Battery Issues". I also have a post there with my experience. The new ones I received were on 1.5.0, which is not available as OTA, only on recent stock. New firmware has been released today(?) for 1.6.x, but the physical damage may be already done for your existing pair. I recommend hail marying with chat.
EDIT: Further down the threads it sounds like Sony is checking serial numbers for known "refurbs" and denying them on that context. Editing this for visibility. For my case I was asked to provide a SN as well. What this means is trying to buy the OP to get it replaced will fall through.
