The price is great. Reviews are spotty. Complaints include performance problems due to a DRAM-less controller and a big write performance drop after 6GB bytes written, possibly due to a (SLC?) write cache.

What would happen if you RAID 0 two of these as a scratch/misc drive? Would it make up for the DRAMless performance and or write speed drops?

Hmmm... Seems like it uses Micron TLC flash with average 960(?) TBW.

Temping. This would make a good cryptocurrency database burner drive because you need fast IOPS but not necessarily high speed transfer.

I think I'll wait because I'm building other stuff. Hopefully it will hit this price again.

Edit: Also I'm a little leery of ordering from Amazon right now. My packages have been sitting at the hub down the street for 4 days and they still haven't put it on a truck for delivery. WTF

theoretically, you would get double the amount of data transferred before it drops

mfg make it seem cache would nearly double the cost of the drive... at least at retail. Until overall speeds get better this has limited market potential.
