I only buy kolher, it has the canister system which lasts 10x longer then the flaps that most companies use.

have it delivered on the day you are at home, and open the box when it's delivered.

when I got my toto the flush valve was defected, I called them and the send me a new one. so toto knows about things like that so the package them to anticipate things going bad.

if you can't be at home, have it delivered to the amazon location (if you have one in town), inspect it when you pick it up.

It's a nice toilet. I had a plumbing company install 3 of these in my house last week. They charged 1k each so this is a great price if you're handy.
The flush is fast. The fill valve can be a bit loud bc it's much larger and makes a small thump.

Really? My local Home Depot sells plenty of 1.2 / 1.6 gpf "DUAL" flush toilets. Sure it gives me the option for 1.2 gpf but I can configure it for 1.6 gpf also

It's been awhile since I researched these, but I think the Drake 2 uses less water and has a slightly larger water spot, but it also has a lower MaP rating. So basically, this model flushes better at the expense of using more water. The Drake 2 is an older model. I think that one came out around 2008 or 2009, and this one in the OP was released last year. I purchased two of these in beige last year, and they're great. We paid $284 + tax from a local supplier.
