no homekit, no white, no individually addressable LEDs. Not sure why this is significantly different from all the other no-name contenders for "LEDs with an app".

Tunable white + RGB, wifi with app control and voice assistant. 72 LEDs per meter. 24V for the 10m one. Specs look good, we'll see if it performs.

Agreed. 32 feet of connected color leds for 19.99 is a steal, especially from an actual brand. I'm looking forward to checking it out.

Dumb question, but what is that coin battery even for? The remote? It says there's a 12v 1amp power adapter so I'm a bit confused.

From what I can gather from other sites these are ip65 certified. Could I use these for outdoor use? Rated to -4 degrees F too…

I'm in the same boat and believe you cut them to length, so you would probably just buy two of these

I would buy better ones since you're sticking them to the wall or ceiling. These are basically the same as cheap Chinese ones from Amazon…and you might rip paint or drywall paper off when you inevitably replace/upgrade the ones posted here so makes sense in this case to spend a little more.

Get "rgbic" so that each led can be a different color, rather than the entire length being the same color. They're the ones that have the cool "scenes" with changing colors etc. which is what your kid will actually want. (The IC in RGBIC stands for independent control)

Edit - you can cut and splice these together at premarked spots on the strip. So yeah you could put multiple together as long as they're the same ones. They sell cheap connectors as well.

I recommend these or similar. They have a rubber coating on them so they look and feel a little nicer when they aren't on. https://us.govee.com/products/gov...ve-coating

So I want a light bar for processing that goes one side to the other back and forth at a comfortable speed for the person I'm working with. So I want to be able to control the speed and have 1 non blinking color and more than likely would be white but it would be nice if someone could pick. Would this technically do the same thing and confidently be on something I want without having to have a bulky bar in my office and save me money? I've been looking for an alternative and it appears from the comments this could work or is there a light strip that someone recommends with an app for my phone that would do these simple operations?
