Oh dear. I have $750 plus $750 plus $300 in rebates outstanding with them! We bought 4 phones (plus one "bring your own") in early/mid October. I have been wondering where these digital debit card rebates were!

we bought 4 phones at the (old) recently-moved Costco 8 weeks ago. At that point, it was T-mobile. Waiting on $1800 of rebates Frown

At the end of the day, there's a path that will emerge for rebates (or a portion of them) to be paid. The company decided to stop business once they knew their contract was not going to be renewed (note - not at the end of their contract - based on what's been shared). The terms in that contract are what matter.

Private companies can do this do preserve capital. Claims can arise out of this especially where the company has outstanding debts - for example, these rebates. Heck, the contract may compel them to still pay them.

Then the wireless carrier and Costco may make you whole - they both have a vested interest in maintaining your 'subscription'.

Finally, litigation could arise of course as a final path. Both Costco and the Wireless Carriers have plenty of money and assets to go after.

Give the wireless carriers and Costco some time to sort things.

Bro you live in a bubble. Of course everyone here agrees with you, but I can attest to 13 years in the wireless industry that the bulk of normies out there couldn't log in to upgrade their phone or pay a bill online if they had a gun pointed at their head.
True, do you have a point. The average American is basically a complete idiot.

I wonder if this is going to be better in the long run for customers. Cell phone deals have sucked lately, discounts over 24- 36 months are ridiculous.

Just got 2 iphone 14s last week at full price (1535$).. submitted the 720$ rebate and the 100$ costco card rebates.. both are in received status.. With my luck on rebates, I doubt if I will get either of them..

Called local costco warehouse. They said wireless is closed and asked me to call tmobile(service provider) for rebates. Called tmobile. They said my promo $300 per line should be provided by costco. Asked me to contact costco. Explained that i already contacted but they told me to contact costco customer service. Called costco corporate. They said i need to talk to tmobile. Explained above story to the lady. She put me on hold for 15 mins and said she will submit a form and someone will getback. This episode took me more than 1 hour but no +ve outcome. I bought 3 BYOD lines in Aug ☺️
Do you have Costco Corporate number? Which option do you choose. I think if more people call, they may take some action.

The Tmobile $720 rebates will be fine as they are coming from Tmobile FYI.

The other rebates; as others have stated shouldn't just go "poof" but might need to wait until the dust settles.....

The real people in trouble are going to be people who have unresolved issues or issues that will come up (phone swap or existing items not done) as they might be in a limbo status until a new plan is hatched.

Thank you. This worked. They are familiar with the issue, but they are just taking information of people calling them. She said she is not receiving many calls regarding this. I think unless more people call, this isn't going to be escalated to higher up for some resolution.
