My battery gripe is that I barely use my laptop, so I prefer to have it hibernate pretty early on. Instead, hibernating seems to only kick in automatically if I hit low battery so I have to do it via power button. Like I maybe will go a week between uses.
I haven't really played many games on mine as I have a desktop, but I was pleasantly surprised to see xcom2 run at a reasonable frame rate.

The Elitebook with 6800U at $800 over BF was the most ideal. You get the CPU and GPU power in one chip, and the battery life will be good. Plus the construction of Elitebook vs IdeaPad.
PS: There is another small niche for this machine, which comes with NVidia's CUDA API. If you ever need CUDA (for some advanced subjects in school or 3D modeling programs for work) or doing video edits with certain programs, it will work a lot better than iGPUs. If you didn't know about CUDA then don't worry.

I don't know how much better the IdeaPad 5 Pro is to the IdeaPad 5, I know the regular IdeaPad 5 is garbage.
I liked the Acer Swift 3 https://slickdeals.net/f/16189888-acer-swift-3-14-intel-evo-laptop-12th-gen-intel-i5-1240p-16gb-ram-512gb-ssd-550-15-565
Lenovo Thinkbook 13s looks good too, but you need to pay attention to Lenovo's coupon pricing https://slickdeals.net/f/16255015-thinkbook-13s-gen-4-laptop-ryzen-7-6800u-13-3-2560x1600-16gb-lpddr5-256gb-ssd-710-06
I also like the Dell Latitude Refurb from Dell Outlet on eBay. Pricing varies, but occasionally they will pop a 16GB configuration for less than $600.
