The $20 digital member bonus card is a single-use promotional card. Digital member bonus cards are valid 12/27/22-1/5/23.
Kinda lame restriction on the $20 bonus.

It should combine because Chase can only see that $100 was spent with REI, not what it was spent on.

It sounds like you should be able to get multiple bonus cards, right?

As a data point I added the REI chase offer to one of my cards and made a $100 eGift card purchase on 12/2. Have yet to receive confirmation the offer was used. The terms do say it might take 14 says...

In my experience there is much more chance getting cc bonus on gift cards if purchased in store. Online it's often processed by 3rd party and voids bonus

I'll probably buy one online and pay with Paypal linked to Chase or Apple Pay linked to Discover. Both have 5% cashback this quarter.
Edit: Just to get the $20 bonus card, I've already done the Chase/REI offer.

I think it will NOT trigger Chase offer. Correct me if I am wrong.

You are correct. I've already done the Chase/REI offer. I'm trying to get the $20 bonus card. I buy a lot at REI...

I made a purchase on rei.com with Paypal last month and it looks like this: Paypal *REI. Attached is a screenshot.

It's still not very clear to me if this will work with the 20% because I've seen data points from people claiming it stacked and others saying it didn't stack, so I suppose YMMV.
