Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?
I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.
If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

I have this and it's the fastest most reliable internet I've ever had. But i live in a somewhat rural area with no comcast option, or starlink, just dsl, satellite or other wireless internet. Tmo home smokes them all.

Legit no data caps. I strictly stream so this was important. No issues streaming or gaming. I know it's different for everyone but I would be all over this deal. Shame that existing customers can't take advantage. Just did a speedtest and I'm getting 500mbps! Insane i never had internet this fast lol

I just signed up for this service few weeks ago on a $40 for life promo and the service is amazing. I'm getting 540mbps download and 57mbps upload. The only downside is the ping speed is ~367ms
That would be a no go if you play any FPS.

It's basically like a super hotspot lol not close to spectrum or any other dsl service
I get 750 down/70 up on my phone inside the house. It's first gen 5G modem, so nothing special. That's far above charter's bottom tiers.
450 down in the basement lol. Whoops, just did a speedtest down here...over 500.

Why do you even need to save $45 when both wfh? Low price always comes with a cost.
Saving over $500 a year on something that might be comparable seems like a no brainer. If it's something that we wouldn't see a noticeable difference on, then it only makes sense to save money.

Work doesn't pay for our internet. If they did, it wouldn't matter.

I have a TMO 5GUC tower about 100 yards from my home. I get about 600-700MB down and 150-200 up. May be worth a shot.
How do you track down the nearest towers to you? Thinking of switching to tmo for cell service and this just might be the push I need to pull the trigger.

Today moved from CenturyLink 44mbps to T-Mobile 5g now that they have new towers nearby. Averaging 175-300 mbps. From $85+ fees down to $40 flat with Magenta. No complaints other than no port forwarding for things like web security cam server.

Let's see if I can force spectrum to lower my current price. They just super my price to $55 per month. Does anyone know what's the lowest I can get out of spectrum?
call their phone to cancel the service they will lower your bill.
i just moved from spectrum to at&t fiber, i called to cancel, they offered for keeping exiting internet and giving free unlimited phone service for total $39, i refused anyway

Is it capped data?
Depends on your area/tower.
If you are in a congested area.. then they won't have the unlimited plan available. They will offer you the LITE plan which is capped.

plug in your address now and see what plans they offer. If unlimited is available, then you are in good shape (as long as you are close to the 5G tower).

The YMMV here is how close you are to the nearest T-mobile tower and how many people are simultaneously using it while you are trying to stream or game online. Might be a true Slickdeal for those who are located near a t-mobile tower which is not connected to a ton of customers at all hours.

What is the cheapest postpaid plan that gives one entry to this promotion?

Boost mobile has a pretty good unlimited plan at $25 month and no contract. But after 30GB you get throttled. Does T-mobile have anything postpaid near that price point? Will they throttle your home internet have so many GB of data?

Unfortunately their website says T-Mobile home internet service is not available in my location (must be over subscribed, because I have T-Mobile for cell phone and 5G UW service at my house).

Anyone have any tips or tricks for getting around this? (Was thinking of maybe trying to subscribe at my parents address not too far away where it's available and then after a month say I'm moving and try to transfer the service location)? If that doesn't work and no other tricks, fingers crossed they open up some availability in my area once this promotion goes live.
