Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?

I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.

If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

I have this and Visible. My Visible phone service is horrible in my area, but the T-mobile 5G service is OK, not great. I get 150 mbs, which is by far the fast I can get in my area. I didn't think they would cover me since I am in the country. Next fastest unlimited Internet I could find was 20 from CenturyLink.

Yes and no. It use the same cellphone tower as Tmobile postpaid cellphone plan but it has lower priority. So if the tower has congestion, Tmobile Home internet devices will get lower priority and the speed may drop by a lot. And by just reading the posts here, many people have speed (and ping) issue so really depend on the area you are in.

Also you are not supposed to move the device out of your home location.

I currently have Tmobile home internet but no Tmobile voice lines. Wonder if I'm still not eligible for this if I were to bring 4 new voice lines to T-Mobile?

I don't care about most folks...I was replying to a single comment from a user here saying he wishes TMO 5G had a physical line into the house like Comcast or att.

So it seemed reasonable to gather that they were talking about the modem/router that T-Mobile supplies, which has wifi on it. So, whatever you want to say, but the post you originally replied to was talking about onboard wifi, not a line of service into the modem. That would defeat the entire purpose of this very thread.

Have had tmobile internet for about 7 months. Got it on the last $25 month promo. I live in a suburb of cleveland ohio. I do have a 4g tower about a half mile away, but the closest 5g tower is probably 2-3 miles as the crow flies. The first month or 2 I was getting 200-300mb down and 30-50 up. Now I am getting 350-500 down and 50-70 up. Before tmobile we had spectrum for $85, we were paying for 400mb and getting about 250mb down. We would have to reboot the modem about once a month. In the time we have had tmobile I've had to restart the modem 3-4 times. We did have 1 day that download speeds dropped to 1-2mb, but still 50mb upload. The next day everything was back to normal. For the price I have been very happy with it.
