Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?
I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.
If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

I called TMobile Home Internet, talked to a CSR, and "got" the promotion for $25/month. She told me:
- $25/month
- Cancel anytime
- $35 activation fee is waived just for today
- She took CC for the "order"

However, the only emails received
- Email about claiming Promotions (she didn't say anything about promotions. I'm assuming it's the $100 promotion)
- Email confirming order of the router

That's it. No confirmation email about actual $25/month Home Internet service.

That was 2 hours ago. I guess I need to call CSR to see if all this actually went through at the $25/rate which I think I signed up for.

Just odd.
How long does it take for you to receive the order confirmation. Just placed an order with Chat rep and no emails so far.

I've been using Tmobile home internet for the past two years in two states. My conclusion is, worth a shot. And they totally upgraded their customer service recently.

In my first year, everything works smoothly and the download speed is mostly between 100 - 200 (it did go down to 25 once a while). The only issue I had was at around 9 month, the tower near me seems to start having issues and my internet got disconnected every time I turned on my TV (not even streaming) and the engineers couldn't fix it. Then I moved to another state and decided to give tmobile another try. This time everything works fine so far with 200 - 300 download speed (sometimes down to 45 every now and then).

For their technical support, I used to have to spend hours talking to technicians that don't have technical backgrounds and only know how to follow the troubleshooting steps. I factory-reset my router 100+ times just because the issue wasn't fixed within one call. Now they have people with technical knowledge to quickly identify the issue and fix it promptly.

I think the experience will vary on different antenna towers and if there are buildings blocking your signal, etc. But I would try it before jumping into conclusions.

I have this as my backup internet and at times it has helped me to get back online. This as primary internet at home might not be a good idea. The speed is a hit or miss, sometimes amazing speed and other times hard to even check e-mails.
Why do you need this as your backup Internet? Does your primary Internet frequently have issues?

Typically the only time I have Internet issues is when my power goes out, so I am not sure having this as backup Internet would be helpful in my scenario.

Is tethering to your mobile phone not sufficient as a backup, assuming that you need a backup infrequently?

The deal is live on Tmo homepage, but the term "for life" is not in the title or their terms.

Not sure if this was mentioned yet but I tried it in August and while speed was just ok for me (but good enough) the 100gb DATA CAP was used up really quickly since all we do is stream . Then the speed slows down to the point of unusable. 👎🏻👎🏻
Doesn't appear on their site that a data cap exists.

There's a reason why it's $25! We had it and it's awful, internet dropped about 30 times a day. Customer service was useless and when I asked for a new modem I was told that only new customers were eligible for them.

Current Home Internet subscriber here. I just succeeded in adding a new line next to my existing one via T-Force chat. She told me to keep both lines active until the credit is applied, then cancel the first. I have a legacy Simple Choice plan. Let me know if you have any questions!

Edit: $100 gift card will apply also if enrolled for $60 per representative.
I have a monthly TMobile prepaid plan which is$15 per month, I chatted with a TMobile rep and she told me I have to upgrade to the mergenta plan, and add two lines to qualify for $35 per month home internet. I had TMobile home internet for more than a year already. They said I don't qualify for this deal. Im curious if anyone here is already on TMobile home internet and trying to get on this deal.

Exactly what mine says - and on two addresses I tried.
I also tried a second family address in my zip code where I get 500 down and it wasn't available there either. Makes me wonder if my area is already saturated with their home service.

Not available in my area, despite having T-Mobile 5G UC here. Does trying to order through chat bypass the website check?

I have super old simple choice plan and chat signed me up for this. Says should be $25. Waived activation. Said I didn't qualify for 100 rebate but I'll apply for it anyways and see what happens.
