I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?

- $25/month
- Cancel anytime
- $35 activation fee is waived just for today
- She took CC for the "order"
However, the only emails received
- Email about claiming Promotions (she didn't say anything about promotions. I'm assuming it's the $100 promotion)
- Email confirming order of the router
That's it. No confirmation email about actual $25/month Home Internet service.
That was 2 hours ago. I guess I need to call CSR to see if all this actually went through at the $25/rate which I think I signed up for.
Just odd.
In my first year, everything works smoothly and the download speed is mostly between 100 - 200 (it did go down to 25 once a while). The only issue I had was at around 9 month, the tower near me seems to start having issues and my internet got disconnected every time I turned on my TV (not even streaming) and the engineers couldn't fix it. Then I moved to another state and decided to give tmobile another try. This time everything works fine so far with 200 - 300 download speed (sometimes down to 45 every now and then).
For their technical support, I used to have to spend hours talking to technicians that don't have technical backgrounds and only know how to follow the troubleshooting steps. I factory-reset my router 100+ times just because the issue wasn't fixed within one call. Now they have people with technical knowledge to quickly identify the issue and fix it promptly.
I think the experience will vary on different antenna towers and if there are buildings blocking your signal, etc. But I would try it before jumping into conclusions.
Typically the only time I have Internet issues is when my power goes out, so I am not sure having this as backup Internet would be helpful in my scenario.
Is tethering to your mobile phone not sufficient as a backup, assuming that you need a backup infrequently?
We won't raise your price for Internet.
Price Lock guarantees new accounts with qualifying service can keep their regular monthly rate plan price for current unlimited home internet data; excludes taxes/fees, limited-time promotions, per-use charges, third-party services, devices and network management practices.
