Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?
I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.
If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

You get 15 days to try it out. But I wouldn't leave fiber for it personally. YMMV

611 did the trick for me. No wait time or anything. $25 as long as you currently have "eligible" line or plan. If you don't have, add a line today and you will be qualified for $25 home internet.

By signing up $25 Home internet plan today, we are still qualified for the on going $100 rebate. You can submit a request on the T-Mobile promotions website using promo code 2022HINTP10. A link to redeem the promotion will come via text or email and must be used within 30 days of signing up.
Yeah but is there a line for unlimited talk/text and at least 10gb LTE or better yet unlimited data for $25 and under a month? I'd like to consolidate from using mint but using promo cards I get the 10GB for around $10 a month..

Not sure if I'm just lucky, but the chat rep is giving me $25 home internet even though I'm just a metro customer (and he didn't even really verify that I was a metro customer). So there may be some flexibility there...

Got off phone with rep. Not for existing customers, however, if you live in an area that allows more than one unlmtd home internet devices, just get a new one at the $25/mo and then cancel old one after new one is setup.

Or - if you have 2 phone lines you can get the internet for $30/mo

I did end up adding a line and rep stated I can drop it later and keep the $25.00 credit. I hope that is true. I have a Simple Choice plan
Rep lie to you to get his quota up. Look at the Promo terms posted on the first page of this thread on the wiki. No where it says you need to add a new line, it just says that you need to get credit approved and a voice line on your account. The only thing new requried is the Home internet. However, the terms DO SAY that if you drop a line the $25 promo goes away. That rep took advantage of you.

This is why I was recommending people to wait for the official promo terms to come out, to avoid getting taken advantage or getting their accounts messed up by an ignorant or shady customer rep. T-Mobile is extra famous for having both, ignorant Customer Service Reps and shady ones. I really like the comapany but one of the things I hate about them is how shady T-Mobile promo's are. Even Comcast does a better job at doing promos than T-Mobile.

It's right on their Home Internet page:

"We won't raise your price for Internet."

When I signed up for their home internet over a year ago the price was $60 with a $10 credit for setting up autopay. At that time it stated the price was locked for life as long as I didn't cancel service.

Just chatted with a rep. It shows $50 but you will get credited every bill cycle. Also you don't need to have autopay to get it.
You will pay $5 more if you don't do auto-pay.

This only makes sense if you currently get full bars with 5G UC reception. Even then it will likely be as fast as moderate cable (especially up speeds) but nowhere near fiber.

I am a T-Mo loyalist and really wanted this to work for me, but old school Spectrum (200 down/20 up) is way faster than what T-Mo was giving me via 5G (I get 3 bars and 5G but not UC at home).

Truly YMMV. If you live line of sight to one for their 5G towers or relays, it could be a really good deal for you.
Here's an LPT
  • Get this Tmobile internet for 30+ days.
  • Quit your Spectrum.
  • After 30 days, sign up with Spectrum again, and now as new customer since it was 30+ days when you were a customer. New Spectrum customers get promotions like lower monthly and higher speed.
  • Quit your Tmobile internet after 6 weeks so you can get your $100 cash back.
