Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?
I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.
If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

Why are you quoting your service speeds in millibits?

Must be exhausting to constantly have to divide and multiply by 8 x 10^9.
Thanks, very helpful. Keep up the good work.

For me it would $30 a month since I already have more than 8 lines. Autopay discount is only good for 8 lines
Not sure, but I think this is separate from the 8 lines. But, we will see when I get the bill! Big Grin

My rep said that there is no time specified other than the wording "if ANY lines are canceled" it voids the credit.
Probably playing it safe, but the timeframe in the past was 12 months

Never seen what?

Do you have simple choice plan? If so, read what the plan includes.

Internet not available at my house but when I check my neighbor's address it's available there. From my front door to neighbor's is about 50 feet. Is there any issue if I just sign up with my neighbor's address under my account?

FYI, Won't work if you are existing T-Mobile customer with simple choice plan since this plan only gets 4g service.

I mean, it will work, but the speeds shown won't be the same as what you get with the 5g internet.
I am on simple choice plan and our plan was upgraded to unlimited 5g more than a year back. And I get 5g speed on all my phones, of course the phone must be 5g capable to get the 5g network and speed.

This is the same T-Mobile that had "free data for life" for tablets back in 2013, just to end it in 2017.
check your account. I had the same thing, but get unlimited data on my tablet. This is what shows in my account

Plan
ON DEMAND $0.00/mo Plus taxes and fees
Applied discounts and promotions:
$10 of Mobile Internet Discount

Under Active Add-Ons, it doesn't say anything about data, but I definitely get unlimited data. used 130GB on it 2 months ago accidentally

Sorry, I meant T-Mobile wireless customer.

If you already have Tmo internet than this offer doesn't apply to you unless you activate a new internet line. Like the wording states.

But it seems you can not cancel the original internet line without losing the discount on the new line. I can't confirm this part though.
I would not cancel the internet line... they let me have the discount with a new phone line which is $10.00/mo. plus taxes. I am hoping I am able to cancel that phone line since I don't need it

No, there shouldn't be at all.

My in-laws used my address to sign up for tmo internet last year and they live 3 hours away in another state.

I had no issues signing up using my address. So really, my address has two accounts linked to it, but I would never have known that there was already an internet account tied to my address.

When this service first came, it was available in my area. I subscribed and quit after a month.

Today, I put the same address and it says my area is not available. I tried putting my neighbor's address just to see if my address got black listed but it says the same.

I think there's way too many subscriber in my area now and Tmobile has a cap of number of subscriber per area. I think that's good, they are thinking of over-subscription per area.
I have the same issue. My address says it is not eligible. Really wanted this as a backup to the Xfinity that goes out randomly.

Yes, this bring up a good point how this promotion going to affect existing Tmobile Home internet customer. Good chance there will be some kind of noticeable (or even significant) speed drop when all Tmobile service area adding large number of new users.
Quote from MozartA :
And when you add tons of new users because of this deal, the chance of winning this "location speed/ping lottery" is getting slimmer. And this deal likely has big impact to existing home internet users also.
You are one of the few people consistently mentioning this. T-Mobile should give existing $50/month customers a discount just because they are hurting our speeds to gain new $25 subscribers, but they won't. It's like going to Disneyland specifically on an off-day and paying full price, then you find out Disneyland decided to let into the park everyone else after you at half price until it's at full capacity (not that Disneyland would ever do this).
Quote from qu11355 :
They won't replicate this deal for me, any existing TMobile home internet owner had any luck with chat in getting this deal?
This is the sole reason I've been reading this thread. I keep hoping to hear an existing customer was able to get an exception which might open the gates for more of us. I think compensating us for "degraded service" is a good reason.
Quote from DJHerison :
Got off phone with rep. Not for existing customers, however, if you live in an area that allows more than one unlmtd home internet devices, just get a new one at the $25/mo and then cancel old one after new one is setup.

Or - if you have 2 phone lines you can get the internet for $30/mo
I haven't seen anyone post success getting a 2nd Internet connection at the same address. The OP specifically mentions the CNET article is wrong about T-Mo allowing more than 1 Internet per address.

I checked a neighbor's address and it says it's available in my area but "spots are limited". If I were to cancel T-Mo Home Internet for 31 days and try to rejoin on this deal, with all the new $25 signups I bet there would be no spots available for me by then.

When someone says "phone lines", I assume that means "cell lines" and not VOIP lines?
Quote from KUNGFUKID :
Any one with existing TMobile $50 high speed internet user successfully get your plan lower to $25?
Or Any one sign up for 2nd TMobile high speed internet?
Thanks.
Quote from awong9970 :
I'm an existing home internet customer and called 611. They told me I could only start a new Internet line at a new location. Couldn't do a second at my home
As expected, I still haven't seen any reports of success for existing customers. I would drop their Internet now (because I have a 2nd ISP) and rejoin if I were confident I'd be able to rejoin in 31 days and get this deal. The limited spots in my area scares me.

Does anyone know from talking to T-Mo reps:
- When does this promotion end?
- Which gateway are they sending out now?
- Is this gateway better than the Nokia 5G-21-12W-A?
- Did T-Mo ever fix it so their VOIP phone service works over T-Mo Home Internet?

Believe it or not, when I checked into it about 2 years ago T-Mobile VOIP did NOT work over T-Mobile Internet. That's pretty ironic but not surprising for such a bureaucracy.

T-Mo told me years ago they have no way to fix their biggest problem of no way to access your IP from the outside. This forces people like me who need this feature to have a 2nd ISP.
