Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?
I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.
If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

Tell me about this hotspot... Might need one for a spare line or two.
not very cheap. If you get throttled for using up too much data you can swap sim cards, kind of inconvenient but saves you shelling out another $300-$400 for a second unit -- ZTE MU5001U

Edit:fixed model number

So how much is the added line? The least expensive that qualifies because I like to know what the total monthly bill would be to know if the deal is actually worth the hassle
Posted this few pages back....

I just signed up for this via chat as a non T-Mobile customer

Prep: If you have any credit report freeze, get them all temporarily lifted (Experian, Equifax and TransUnion) so they can complete the sign up process.

The T-Mobile chat agent that assisted me was not aware of this promo. I had to provide them the CNet URL on the first page. I asked the agent what's the cheapest voice plan that qualifies for this promo. I will not be porting my existing mobile number.

All in all, I got "Unlimited Talk & Text Only" for $20/month and the "T-Mobile Home Internet" currently shows $55 on the bill summary ($0.00 due today) that the agent provided, but she assured me it will be $25/month on the final bill.

They're sending me the "ARC KVD21 GATEWAY BLK CPO [t-mobile.com]".

Called today and my call got "escalated" to second tier. Was told the $25 deal was only good on magenta max not on magenta also only on new service.
Tell them you are interested on the $25 Internet for Life promo "2022 HINT P22", that promotion is not locked to Magenta, it can be activated with any old plan as long as you have a voice line. The terms for that promo are posted on the first page on the wiki page, show them that if they tell you again that it need magenta.

The promo they told you about is a different one that applies to Magenta Max customer and was active before today.

I had TMobile years ago as a carrier. Dropped them after their horrific service. Text messages didn't come in it go out and when they did in it was in bunches hours after being sent. This won't on for months. Including dropped calls. I finally dropped them, went to Sprint for well over 6yrs and never had an issue. Of course, Sprint is now Tmobile and guess what? The bad service is back. Bad connections on data, dropped calls, inferior connection- same for my wife. I say all this to let people know that as tempting at this price is please know what you're getting. In many cases thats a very unreliable network. If you buy bring your patience. I have a feeling you're going to need them.

I dunno about the previous person, but I have SC with 6 lines included in the plan, 3 free lines and unlimited data on all lines I pay about $16.50 per line including taxes.
6 paid lines are used by myself and family members
1 free line acts as a spare e-sim line on my iPhone so I can essentially get 4 different numbers ringing my phone. 2 t-mobile numbers and 2 google voice numbers
1 free line acts as a hotspot on a 5g hotspot device (international version)
1 free line is in my wife's work phone as a spare sim for t-mobile Tuesday deals
Please pm me info about your hotspot. I have several free lines that are currently unused. I'd like to be able to use in a hotspot or tablet but thought that wasn't possible

I just signed up for this home internet plan but I already have 4 free T-Mobile cell lines sitting unused. Are you telling me that I can get an international hot spot router and have the equivalent of the T-Mobile home internet? Which device are you using? What's the catch?

My cousin took his 30 miles from PA to NJ and it worked. Seems potable but not sure about driving with it

Do you need to have magenta max and add a new line for this promotion? I'm seeing mixed feedback and wanted to inquire and what's the best way to get the promotion? I also see some getting $100 GC

Posting the terms below. This Promo is not tied to any plan, ie you don't need Magenta. Also, it requires you to have a voice line, ie if you have one you don't need to add a new one. The problem right now is that there is another promo (2022 HINT P18) for Magenta Max that was active before the $25 for life one, and the Customer Reps are telling people they need Magenta Max thinking on that old promo.

When calling, chatting, or in-store you can mention to promo "2022 HINT P22" so that the customer rep can find the Promo.

The Bill breakdown should by $55 for the internet service, -$5 of Auto-Pay discount, -$25 Bill Credit of promo "2022 HINT P22".

LIMITED-TIME OFFER

Get T-Mobile 5G Home Internet for $25/mo.

With a qualifying voice line and AutoPay. Plus no exploding bills or monthly fees.

Check Availability: https://www.t-mobile.com/home-int...ligibility

Or Call 1-800-T-MOBILE

Promo Terms:

Get T-Mobile 5G Home Internet for $25/mo.

Savings via $25 monthly bill credit. Limited-time offer; subject to change. Qualifying credit, voice line, and new unlimited Home Internet line required. If you have cancelled Internet lines in past 90 days, you may need to reactivate them first. Credits may take up to 2 bill cycles; credits will stop if you cancel any lines or change plans. Limit 1/account. May not be combinable with some offers or discounts.

Home Internet General Terms: During congestion, Home Internet customers may notice speeds lower than other customers due to data prioritization. Not available in all areas. $35 assisted support or device connection charge due at sale. Plus taxes & fees for accounts currently paying for a T-Mobile wireless line with additional taxes & fees: Monthly Regulatory Programs (RPF) & Telco Recovery Fee (TRF) totaling $1.40 per data only line ($0.12 for RPF & $1.28 for TRF) apply; taxes/fees approx. 3-12% of bill. Credit approval required. For use only with T-Mobile Gateway for in-home use at location provided at activation. If canceling service, return gateway or pay up to $370. Video streaming resolution depends on available speeds. For best performance, leave video streaming applications at their default resolution setting. Network Management: Service may be slowed, suspended, terminated, or restricted for misuse, abnormal use, interference with our network or ability to provide quality service to other users. Tried this when T-Mobile Internet was first released. Even though multiple T-Mobile phones get excellent 5G coverage everywhere in our home, something the size of a jug of orange juice couldn't manage as little as 2-3 bars or a stable connection.
They have changed the hardware since then but based on the comments, I'm not biting. At this point for T-Mobile Internet, you might be better off getting another mobile phone device with monthly payments around the same cost and setting it up as a mobile hotspot instead. At least you know it will be portable and actually receive a 5G signal for a device you will end up owning instead of renting.

(Just making a point with a half joke about the phone line but the more I think about it, the more it ALMOST makes sense lol)
