Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?
I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.
If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

Sigh. We got ours today. Not as good as what our phones speed tests are. Still better than the centurylink connection we had. Unfortunately we are running into an issue with the PS5. It's trying to use Type 3? Which I guess is an issue. Anyone experience this/know a work around. Yes I'm googling.

My spectrum bill is up at $80. I want to jump on this plan but my home isn't available for the unlimited plan which is very frustrating. Would it be possible to use a different address that's on my plan but use it at my address?

I tried with both a prepaid and a postpaid (Magenta Max) TMobile # and am only seeing $50/month, what gives? Their site is such a mess.
Per what T-Mobile T-Force and chat had said is that if you order by yourself online it will not show the Promo Price, it will show $50 or $55 depending if the Auto-Pay is getting applied or not. But that as long as you put the order withing the promotional period that your account will automatically get the discount.

If you want to be extra sure just go to a store and get it there, most people that have done it in-store the promo shows up instantly on their account. The other way is through phone, chat, or T-Force on twitter/facebook.

Awesome! Will have to keep that in toolbox!
Will try to find the link to the FCC site to submit your case and post it. Also, if you get to that point just search online for letter examples online on how to write or submit a letter to the FCC and FTC.

I got mine from slickdeals years ago (more than 10 years I would say) from a AT&T thread.

For arbitration you have to get the terms of your account and follow the instructions that are in there.

Another data point that the promo can take a few days to show up in account.

Added the Home Internet service on 12/8 around 4 pm local time, via chat. New Internet line showed up same day with only $5 autopay discount, but not the $25.

12/20, 10:30 am local time - finally get the Congrats text message about the promo discount, and the $25 promo now also shows up on the new line. So took almost 48 hours to show, but it did show. Have not received the router yet, since I chose the free 2-day shipping, so it is not dependent on activating the router at home.

Now have to see if I can get decent connection at home, as my 5G phone usually only gets one bar. I'm in between three cell towers, but the nearest one just a block away is blocked from direct line of sight by a hill. I think I'm connected to the 2nd one, that direction has the most homes, whereas the other two are next to a freeway but have less homes around them.

Finally got a good rep via T-Force. Everything done quickly. Now just have to wait and hope that promotion sticks with insider.

How long did it take for New Internet Line to show in account after making order??

I just got done with order not long ago and am only seeing the order placed in Account Activity. Nowhere in my account does it show new internet line.

you will get a text about adding a new line, when you do, check your account, you should see a new number that is the internet line.

im in the same boat with cox. they jacked up the rates 3x from what i was paying and tmobile doesnt have home internet service nearby but my cell signal is great and 5g works decently well. I just chatted with tmobile rep had the service/billing address to my sisters address that qualifies and I am having the gateway shipped to my house. Pretty sure ill get kicked off at some point doing this but as a temp solution to re-qualify for cox promotional rates again, hopefully its fine. Worst case, just cancel and return the gateway.

I wouldn't believe a T-Mobile "For Life" anything.
I had the free data for life for a tablet and they simple cut off the service without warning.

TMobile Postpaid Simple Choice customer for 10+ years, very initial user of THI when it came in my area. I called up TMobile and talked to the customer service rep. Mentioned to her that I am a long-time TMobile customer and requested her to apply the promotion to my existing account towards my current THI service (and not to sign me up for a new/additional service). She put me on hold for a few minutes, got back and said that she has put in the request to apply the promotion on my existing service, and that I should see it reflected on my bill in 1-2 billing cycles.

Strongly suggest you try the same, be polite and find a very nice rep to do this for you.
