Does anyone have the issue of not being able to use the provided modem/router in bridge mode? What solutions do you guys have for this? I would like to use my own router and be able to port forward, but from my brief research, that's not possible.
T-Mobile doesn't support Bridge Mode nor port forwarding unless you have a business home internet account.

In other words, T-Mobile Home Internet only allows for connection that initiate coming out of your Gateway Modem. Any connection initiated from the internet towards your Gateway Modem gets dropped basically at the tower.

This is a limitation of how T-Mobile has their 5G Data Network IP layer structured.

That's a pretty terrible limitation especially for home internet.

If my T-mobile accound shows this:

Plan Details
T-Mobile Home Internet$25.00/mo
Applied discounts and promotions:
$5 AutoPay Discount

$25 2022 HINT P22

Does it mean my home internet will be $20 or $25?
Thank you,people!
In the 1.5 days before the $25 promo showed up in my account, it basically said
Plan Details
T-Mobile Home Internet$50.00/mo
Applied discounts and promotions:
$5 AutoPay Discount

I believe the $50 already factored in the $5 autopay discount,

After the P22 promo showed up, it showed same as you,
T-Mobile Home Internet$25.00/mo
since it subtracted another $25 from the first line. So the first line amount is net price after all discounts/promos, meaning original undiscounted price never shown was $55.

Just run an Ethernet cable from the T-Mobile router into your router. You don't need bridge mode. Turn off the WiFi radio on the T-Mobile router if you want--although, generally, it's not a problem.

I got my device today. Seems to be getting 130 down and 35 up in central NJ.

While this is faster then Cablevision, my son is having issues with Minecraft.

I am not connected to router.. just the gateway. Any idea how I can improve gaming connectivity?

Thank you

It's not great for gaming for most people. Speed is less important than latency for that. You're much better off with wired service for any gaming.

Can I connect this to the router? Is there anything to improve the latency?

How long did it take for it to show up on your account and what plan do you have?

Just got it setup, the download speed varies from 30mbps - 330mbps and uploads is 4 - 15mbps from my iphone 14 pro max. But the numbers are so much lower when I did the test with my Samsung Galaxy s20 Fe. I don't know too much about the 5g network, is that normal about the speed being so much difference?

I am a Sprint Legacy customer and went to a T-Mobile store nearby since Sprint nor Tmobile chat or phone said they could do it online or by phone. The store personnel said I could not get it unless I came over to T-Mobile on the Magenta plan and pay off all my phones.

You should hardwire it to a computer with a network cable to truly test the speed.

I got my gateway, set it up and ran a speed test. 285 down , 30 up. 4 bars, connection is very good. The speed seems to be very fluctuating.
That's good! So far it's been rock steady with streaming movies, 1 kid face timing, 1 kid playing fortnight, wife on her iPad, me on the phone and 3 cameras.
