Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?

I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.

If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

May I ask to clarify a bit more, please?
I have an impression, the antennas are shared between LTE and WiFi.

It looks like the 4x4 MIMO Log Periodic Antenna Kit [waveform.com] is directional.
I.e. when mounted on the wall and pointed to the TMO tower to get best LTE signal, it might affect WiFi reception behind the antenna / behind the wall it's mounted on.

Am I wrong about both? Confused

Home Internet Unlimited is not available at your address yet, but Internet Lite might be the right fit for you!

Weird, my address was available since October 2022 based on an email Tmo sent me but the service is not available again?

You've waited patiently, and now it's here! Unlimited T‑Mobile Home Internet is available at your address on ….blah blah blah….

Give our dedicated team a call to order now. But hurry! Our service is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Bah…. Take my money…!!!
When I checked my address it said it was available but that there were limited spaces available.

Some posters have mentioned the same too. That the number of spaces available in an area is based on the Tower/Antenna capacity. Maybe in your case all the spaces were taken.

How was I suppose to "turn on" something I wasn't paying for?
It was a T-Mobile mistake turning it off a FREE data for life.
They disconnected/discontinued the telephone number associated with the tablet.
You still need a telephone number even if the tablet can't take phone calls.
You scoff if you like, but I wouldn't bank on "for life" with T-Mobile.
Because stuff happens. I had an old grandfathered plan and once the codes and billing system changes stuff can happen. Maybe since I'm in IT I'm more understanding. But I found plenty of examples online of people getting their free line turned back on. I'm not saying it didn't happen, but I'm not saying it was malicious and unfixable. I would not be using the losing of a 200mb line after 10 years or whatever as the basis of comparison. If it was that important, get in touch with T-Force and they'll sort it out. Unfortunately we live in an imperfect world.

I tried to get them to switch my $30 to $25 for TMHI and they refused. Not exactly fair for current customers. But its just $5 so not a big deal.

Got it!
I've another "trash can": Sagemcom Fast 5688W
https://www.waveform.com/a/b/guid...y-sagemcom [waveform.com]
The guide is great, feels like I'll be defusing a bomb!
Thanks!
I had the Arc gateway, and had the 4x4 which I resold. I couldn't get that gateway apart without breaking it. I gave up as I get without it 400-500 down and 40 up. So I get great speeds without the antenna anyways.

I had NO warning anything was happening.
I called T-Mobile and the CSR had no clue what I was talking about.
They also told me of the lose of my data line on an email address that wasn't associated with that data line's account.
I absolutely would use the losing of a 200MB data line after 10 years as the basis of comparison.
This offer is FOR LIFE just as that offer was FOR LIFE.
This offer isn't until "we change the billing system".
Don't say "For Life", if you cannot follow through on it.

Me too! T-Mobile disconnected mine too. The tablet was slow and it was only 200MB. So I didn't fight it. I hardly used it anyway. But still sucked that I still have my tablet but yet it's not "for life" it was about 10 years.
These folks jumping through hoops to get this deal should plan on 10 years.
LOL.
Then T-Mobile will conveniently change their billing system again.

Then call T-Force! Everyone on SD knows that regular CSRs only know so much. What do you do when you get less than perfect customer service elsewhere?

Lol, then we can cross that bridge in 10 years. I'm pretty sure after 10 years at $25 a month, I'm not going to be too sore about it. Unlike people who got 10 years of a free, yet minimal data plan. 🙄🙄
