Great price but most of the reviews state it isnt consistant speeds and has frequent drops.

I wonder if this is portable as long as you have an oulet for power?
I had this from its inception, originally it wasn't too bad-as time went on the signal got worse and buffered like nuts, 3 TV's a pc and phone. I finally gave up after 7 months and terrible to non-existent customer service. The price is definitely tempting, btw, their newer modem was worst than their first, I had a pc fan underneath to cool it down, no difference.
If true it's a no brainer. I have the service. You can expect 100mbs-300mbs. Down time nonexistent.

My speeds are all over the place.

On my phone (wifi off), I normally get 200+Mbps

Going through the Arcadyan (wifi connected) device, I am only getting 30-50Mbps. Sometimes it will bounce up to 100, then come right back down. (getting 4-5 bars)

It's strange though because on the Arcadyan, my UPLOAD speed is close to as high as my download speed ~40Mbps.

Like I said before...you cant compare wifi speeds to 5G speeds because for example if your devices cant support wifi6, then you will never see top speeds from your wifi

Stock Arcadyan unit connected directly to PC. 4 bar signal

Non-peak hours: 15 mS ping, ~600Mbps download
Peak hours: 20mS ping, ~200Mbps download

Moving unit a few feet and rotating it a few degree can improve download speed by 100-200Mbps.

I am in a "TMO Dead Zone" and can't get good signal from any tower, will their Home Internet work for me?
Currectly I have to rely on TMP Personal Cellspot for my phones to work inside the house.
Guaranteed this will not work for you. It delivers internet over the normal cell service bands - no signal = no internet.

Doesn't work with Sprint now T-Mobile customers. Sprint is considered T-Mobile now, yet can't get the T-Mobile promotions

Anyone with networking knowledge help here? Maybe this is normal, but I feel like my Nest wifi has always been crappy.

Testing the T-Mobile gateway, I am getting 400 down and 40 up, now I only have my phone connected.

If I unplug my nest router from frontier fios and put it on the T-Mobile gateway, my test goes to around 200 down 22 up. Granted there are many more devices on the nest and only my phone on the gateway during the test.

Normal or is there an issue with the nest wifi?

Test #1: Connect a PC directly to one of the yellow port on the T Mo unit and run speed test.
Test #2: Connect nest router (WiFi radio OFF) directly to one of the yellow port on the T Mo unit. Connect PC directly from the nest router to the PC and run speed test. Speed should be similar. If OK, then the problem could be the WiFi radio or WiFi signal configuration at the nest router.

You cannot obtain an accurate speed test if you have other devices connected to the nest router during speedtest. Also note that moving the T Mo unit and rotating it a few degrees can affect the speed by 100-200 Mbps. The speed also drop during peak hours.

For best performance, you should also disable the built-in WiFi in the T Mo unit. There are online tutorials from the Sagecom and Arcadyan units.

A rep called me yesterday (Sunday morning) to see if I was still interested in HSI for $25 a month, and we used a different address temporarily that showed HSI available. Today my account properly shows the details on what looks like a new added line for HSI. Rep also emailed me code for $100 back (I didn't even mention it, the rep did).

So everything is indeed working as it should.

"The code you requested for promo is 2022HINTP10. Go to https://promotions.t-mobile.com/
and use code 2022HINTP10 within 30 days of device receipt and upon meeting all qualifications to redeem your Virtual Prepaid Mastercard"

(log in using computer, account, lines and devices new number now shows for this new line of HSI)
Data only
Plan
T-Mobile Home Internet
Applied discounts and promotions:
$5 AutoPay Discount
$25 2022 HINT P22

Also under account, my promotions, service promo:
2022 HINT P22
Enrolled

All occurred in less than 24 hours after signing up in a 10 minute phone call from tmobile rep.

What is this code you are referring to? When I asked the rep, all I was provided was a link to the promotion.

Some newer phones have the latest WiFi protocol, so you may be able to achieve similar speed as if you connected your PC directly to the T Mo's LAN port. Older WiFi receivers (b/g/n) will probably top out around 50-100Mbps.

People like you would be the FIRST here moaning about not getting their $25 for life. LOL.
I know people like you.

I have moved on with T-Mobile's not free data for life since there is nothing I can do about.
But I am not going to remain silent when they failed to follow through on their promise.
LOL, you apparently do not know me at all. And you've moved on? LMAO! You continue to post about a 200mb plan that you got for free for 10 years and could have salvaged if you wanted to?!?
But, I know whiners when I see one. Applause

Just to update earlier DP

Just received text from T-Mobile - "Congrats! You will receive your promotional service discount from T-Mobile as long as you maintain eligibility."

I have One plan with insider discount. Whether the insider discount saves me in addition to the promo is still to be determined.
